The MDR-M1 headphones deliver studio-quality sound with a calibrated acoustic structure that supports a variety of music productions and high-resolution audio. The driver unit provides ultra-wideband playing (5Hz – 80kHz) by using a soft edge form for low frequencies and a firm dome shape for higher frequencies. A tuned port (Beat Response Control) regulates low frequencies and optimises diaphragm performance, yielding better low-frequency transient characteristics and tighter bass response.
