Tecno Phantom 9 with triple rear cameras launched in India: Price and specifications

Tecno Phantom 9 has officially been launched in India today. The smartphone is the latest one to become a part of the company’s new Phantom lineup. The company calls the device as premium and has said that it features a 6.4-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display and runs the latest Android 9.0 Pie operating system.

Tecno Phantom 9 price and availability

Tecno Phantom 9 smartphone is available in its sole 6GB RAM/128GB storage variant and costs Rs 14,999 in India. The device will be going on sale starting July 17 and will be available exclusively on Flipkart’s website. The handset is only available in a Lapland Aurora colour option.

At the given price, Tecno Phantom 9 competes with a number of other handsets like Redmi Note 7 Pro, Vivo Z1 Pro, Samsung Galaxy M30, Realme 3 Pro, Nokia 6.1 Plus and others.

Tecno Phantom 9 specifications and features

Tecno Phantom 9 features a 6.4-inch (2340×1080 pixels) Full HD+ AMOLED display that has an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and comes with 600 nits of brightness. Powered by 2.3GHz Octa-Core MediaTek Helio P35 12nm processor, the device comes with IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU and is available only with 6GB of RAM. The handset has 128GB of internal storage and can hold a microSD card of up to 256GB.

The device has support for dual SIM cards and runs Android 9.0 Pie skinned with HiOS 5. The device houses 3,500mAh battery and its dimensions are 158.46x 75.3×7.85mm. The smartphone does not come with support for fast charging.

On the imaging front, Tecno Phantom 9 sports a triple rear camera setup that consists of a 16MP primary camera with Quad LED flash, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies and video calls, there is a 32MP front-facing snapper that has an f/2.0 aperture and dual LED flash.

The smartphone comes preloaded with a number of photography modes including AI CAM, HDR, Portrait mode, Beauty, AR Mode, Animoji, Wide Selfie, Bokeh and Panorama. It also comes integrated with Google Lens and has support for AI Face Unlock.

The company’s latest smartphone comes with an in-display scanner has a 3.5mm headphone jack. For connectivity, it has Bluetooth 5.0, FM Radio, Dual 4G VoLTE, GPS and GLONASS, Micro USB and Wi-Fi.
