Tecno Phantom X With Curved AMOLED Display launched in India

Tecno, a smartphone manufacturer based in Shenzhen, has announced the launch of a new smartphone in India. Tecno has unveiled the Phantom X, a smartphone with a curved AMOLED display. In a pill-shaped cutout, it houses a triple rear camera setup and dual selfie cameras.

The Tecno Phantom X is priced at Rs 25,999 in India for the single 8GB RAM with 256GB storage variant. The phone will be available in two colours: Iceland Blue and Summer Sunset. The device will be available for purchase from May 4 via Amazon. Customers who buy the Phantom X will get a free Bluetooth speaker worth Rs 2,999 as well as a one-time screen replacement service.

Prior to launching in India, the handset was already launched in other markets in 2021.

The Tecno Phantom X features a 6.7-inch full-HD+ curved AMOLED display with 1,080×2,340 pixels of resolution. The screen comes with 90Hz refresh rate support, which has a 70-degree bend for curved edges on both sides. The display has a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 panel. The smartphone runs Android 11 on top of HiOS 8.0.

The Tecno Phantom X is powered by a MediaTek Helio G95 SoC with an octa-core MediaTek Mali-G76 GPU and 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM with 256GB of UFS 2.1 storage and a dedicated slot for microSD card expansion up to 512GB. A 50-megapixel primary sensor with laser focus, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and an 8-megapixel macro sensor are included in the phone’s triple rear camera setup. The device has a dual selfie camera setup on the front that includes a 48-megapixel primary sensor and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor for selfies and video chats.

A 108MP Ultra HD Mode, Super Night Mode, AI Portrait, and Burst Shot are among the features available on the rear camera. It also supports 4K and 960fps slow-motion video recording. Moreover, at the front, both sensors are accompanied by a dual-LED flash.

The Tecno Phantom X has a 4,700mAh Li-Polymer battery with 33W fast charging capabilities. When using the included 33W adapter, the battery is said to reach 50% charge in 20 minutes.

The Tecno Phantom X has 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, and a USB Type-C port for connectivity. An accelerometer, ambient light, gyroscope, magnetometer, and proximity sensor are among the sensors onboard. There’s also a fingerprint sensor built into the display.
