Tecno Pova Curve 2 5G India launch date confirmed, design details revealed

The new smartphone will have a new camera module.

Tecno has confirmed the launch date for the Pova Curve 2 5G in India, which will follow the Pova Curve 5G released last year. The new model incorporates a design linked with the brand’s Design 2.0 vision, drawing inspiration from space engineering, and includes a newly redesigned triangle-shaped camera island similar in appearance to that of the Tecno Pova 7. The device will be offered in three colour options: black, silver, and violet.

The Tecno Pova Curve 2 5G is scheduled to launch in India on February 13 at 12 pm IST. The company has teased its design in a post on X.com, revealing the colour options for the Curve 2 5G, which will be offered in three finishes: black, silver, and violet. Each colour variation features a partially translucent accent area in the lower portion of the rear panel.

The handset will feature a curved rear panel that bends at the edges. The rear panel exhibits a matte-textured surface, and similar to its predecessor, it incorporates geometric lines and shapes that increase its visual attractiveness.

In contrast to its predecessor’s vertically aligned lenses, the new camera model has an asymmetrical, triangular camera island. Two lenses are positioned together in a horizontal pill shape, while a third lens ring is set below it. The single camera is also accompanied by a tiny LED flash, and the Pova company logo and fine-print text are displayed on the back panel.

Reports indicate that the Tecno Pova Curve 2 5G is expected to employ the MediaTek MT6858 SoC, marketed as the Dimensity 7100. The phone may run Android 16 and come in variants with up to 12GB of RAM. Additionally, it has surfaced on the TUV certification platform, which signals it will contain a powerful 7,750 mAh lithium-ion polymer battery.

The Tecno Pova Curve 5G was launched in India with a price tag of Rs 15,999 for the 6GB RAM with 128GB storage option and Rs 16,999 for the 8GB RAM with 128GB storage variant. The phone will be available for purchase via Flipkart.

The Pova Curve 5G has a 6.78-inch FHD+ curved AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution. The panel supports a 144 Hz refresh rate, has a screen-to-body ratio of 93.8%, and is wet-hand touch compatible. It features a starship-inspired design and an ultra-slim 7.45 mm curved frame. Its 55° curve creates a premium in-hand feel and futuristic appeal. It comes in three vibrant colours: Magic Silver, Neon Cyan, and Geek Black.
