Tecno Pova Curve 2 5G with a humongous 8,000mAh battery launched in India

Tecno Pova Curve 2 5G has officially made its debut in the Indian market today. The new smartphone is a follow-up to Curve 5G, launched in May 2025. The device comes with a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display and will be available in three colours. With a brand new design, the phone features a slim 7.4mm Space 2.0 design.

Price in India and Availability

The new smartphone comes with a starting price of Rs 27,999 for the 8GB RAM with 128GB storage. With similar RAM and enhanced 256GB storage, the device will be available at Rs 29,999. The phone is offered in three colourways: Storm Titanium, Melting Silver, and Mystic Purple.

The device can be purchased through Flipkart, where buyers can avail of up to an Rs 3,000 discount from leading banks and NBFC partners. The benefits may include free screen replacement and more.

Tecno Pova Curve 2 5G features a Tecno Pova Curve 2 5G AMOLED Eye Care Display, delivering a high-resolution 1080 x 2364 FHD+ experience. It boasts an impressive 144 Hz refresh rate and a 93.18% screen-to-body ratio. The processor has an octa-core design (4x Cortex-A78 at 2.4GHz and 4x Cortex-A55 at 2.0GHz) for fast multitasking and a Mali-G610 MC2 GPU built on 6nm process technology. In terms of memory, the device includes 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM (expandable via Memory Fusion) and 128GB or 256GB of internal storage using UFS 2.2 technology.

The TECNO Pova Curve 2 5G runs HiOS 16 on Android 16. It is the first to have 20 5G bands. It has a unique triple chipset design (G1 and SE1 signal chipsets combined with the D7100 processor) and India’s first AI noise reduction capability.

The back camera configuration consists of a 50MP primary camera and a 2MP secondary camera, both of which enable similar features, such as portrait and super night settings, as well as video recording at 2K resolution at 30 fps. The front-facing camera is a 13MP unit with strong AI capabilities, allowing for various shooting modes, including Portrait, Super Night, and 2K video recording at 30fps.

The battery has an impressive 8000mAh capacity and supports 45W fast charging. The company claims that it can last a long time: up to 1133.1 hours on standby, 48.1 hours of talking, 36.4 hours of WiFi internet, 16.4 hours of video playback, 11.5 hours of gaming, 122.7 hours of music playback through headphones, and 35.7 hours through speakers.
