Telegram has unveiled a comprehensive update for its Android application, showcasing a significant redesign that draws inspiration from liquid glass aesthetics. This update introduces a bottom navigation bar featuring four tabs, which enhances user accessibility and navigation within the app. Moreover, the New Group menu has been streamlined and is now accessible through a convenient three-dot overflow menu. A standout element of the January update is the incorporation of an AI summaries feature, which aims to improve user experience by providing concise overviews.
Telegram for Android has undergone a major redesign, with an updated interface aiming to improve user navigation and search capabilities. The new bottom bar allows for easy access to chats, settings, profiles, and other functions with a single tap, substantially streamlining the user experience. Furthermore, the Android development team thoroughly redesigned the interface code, resulting in better performance and responsiveness. Users may now tweak interface effects from the Settings menu under Power Saving, allowing consumers to improve performance and extend battery life.
Developers have improved the iOS app by including more Liquid Glass elements in various functionalities. Notable upgrades include a new media viewer, innovative sticker and emoji pack preview panels, and improved context menus in user profiles and message selection sections. To increase iPad usability, a new keyboard setting has been created, allowing users to send messages more swiftly using the shortcut ⌘ + Enter.

The blog post also highlights notable Telegram changes, with an emphasis on improvements in group ownership management and the introduction of a crafting system for collectible gifts. These additions are intended to improve user experience and engagement on the platform, providing greater control over group dynamics and the option to generate personalised gifts.
When a group owner leaves the chat, the system automatically transfers ownership to one of the existing administrators after a week. The newly introduced confirmation window, which shows when owners leave, allows them to immediately designate a new owner before they leave. Furthermore, group and channel owners can transfer ownership to another member at any moment, giving them more influence over the use of their groups without leaving.

Since its introduction, Telegram users have created millions of collectible gifts across over 100 collections. The most recent update includes a crafting mechanism that allows users to combine current collectible gifts to create higher-tier versions categorised as uncommon, rare, epic, or legendary. Each created item is expected to have distinct artwork and effects. The crafting interface allows you to add up to four gifts to improve your chances of making a more valuable item, and combining numerous gifts with similar traits improves the likelihood that those attributes will appear in the final result. Telegram has now launched a Gift Marketplace, which allows users to safely buy and sell collectible gifts.
Bot developers can now customise user interfaces by adding colours and emojis to buttons. This feature seeks to increase the interface’s intuitiveness while also drawing attention to key activities, resulting in a more engaging user experience.
