Truecaller will stop offering its call recording function for iPhones on September 30. Users may either download stored recordings locally or change their storage option to iCloud. After this date, stored recordings will no longer be available. Users can switch storage to iCloud in the settings.
Truecaller, a Swedish caller identification application, will end call recording on iPhone beginning September 30, according to a report. The decision comes after Google’s restriction on APIs for accessibility features linked to voice calls. Truecaller will instead focus on expanding its spam-fighting capabilities, such as real-time caller identification with Live Caller ID and automated spam call blocking.
Truecaller has turned its attention from spam calls to enhancing core functionality, according to Nakul Kabra, the platform’s Product Director for iOS.
As a result, the app’s call recording feature will no longer work on iPhone, and any call recordings stored within the app will be unavailable. On its support page, the caller identification platform offers clients three options: retrieve saved recordings, share them via email and messaging apps, or move from Truecaller to iCloud for storage.

Save specific recordings: To save specific recordings in Truecaller, open the Record tab, swipe left on the desired recording, and tap the Share/Export option. Look for a “Share” icon or “Export” button.
To save an audio file on your iPhone, select “Save to Files” from the share sheet and choose a folder like “Downloads.” You can also share the recording with other apps like Mail or Messages or cloud storage services like iCloud Drive, Google Drive, or Dropbox. Repeat this process for each call recording.
