Vivo is accepting entries for the OriginOS 6 Preview Program for these smartphones

In China, Vivo and its sub-brand phones run the company's Origin OS.

Vivo has launched a preview program for their forthcoming Android 16-based firmware, OriginOS 6, which will be made public on October 16th. The program is accessible on eligible devices, allowing consumers to test new features before they are released to the general public. The upgrade will include enhanced personalisation, a new user interface, and AI-powered capabilities. The new operating system will take over the Funtouch OS 15 skin, which is currently based on Android 15. Note that the registration slots are available for a limited users.

The OriginOS 6 will be made available in China on October 16. Ahead of the unveiling, the firm has announced a preview program for vivo X200 Pro and iQOO 13 consumers, allowing them to experience its features before the official release.

Users can register for a preview program on their smartphones, gaining early access to the new OS. They are encouraged to provide feedback to improve performance and user experience before the official public release.

The eligible devices will begin receiving the update option to register for the Preview Program.

To register for the preview program, go to Settings > System Update, tap the 3 Dot Menu, select Version Trial > Closed Beta Sign-Up, and complete the registration form. As per the company, the team will review and inform eligible users.

Vivo intends to launch OS 6, which is based on Android 16, in China on October 10. The upcoming Vivo X300 and Vivo X300 Pro may be the first smartphones to use the new Android 16 skin.
