Vivo V40 series India launch today: How to watch, expected price and specs details

Vivo is all set to launch its V40-Series in India today. The upcoming lineup will include two models, Vivo V40 and Vivo V40 Pro succeeding the Vivo V30 series, which debuted a few months earlier in March. The price is expected to be under Rs 40,000 and the devices will feature a Zeiss branded camera system. Additionally, they will offer an IP68-rated design and pack a 5,500mAh battery.

The Vivo V40 series is scheduled to launch in India today. The company will be hosting a launch event to present its new camera-focused smartphone range. The lineup will include Vivo V40 and Vivo V40 Pro. The launch event will begin at noon and will also be live-streamed through the company’s official YouTube channel as well as via social media channels. Vivo V40 series price in India (expected)

Ahead of the official release the V40 Series has been listed on Flipkart to tease its availability. The online marketplace has a specific webpage for the latest smartphones. We may assume that the  Vivo V40 and V40 Pro would launch for slightly over Rs 30,000 and Rs 40,000, respectively, even though the pricing is still unknown.

Vivo V40 series design and specs (confirmed)

As per the official teaser the Vivo V40 Pro will be available in Lotus Purple, Titanium Grey, and Ganges Blue, while the V40 will only be available in Ganges Blue and Titanium Grey. It has been verified that their build is water and dust-resistant, with an IP68 rating. With a 5,500mAh battery, the  Vivo V40 and V40 Pro are said to be the thinnest smartphones at 7.58mm in thickness.

The posters indicate they will include Zeiss-branded cameras. The Vivo V40 Pro will have three cameras on its back: a 50-megapixel Sony IMX921 primary sensor that supports optical image stabilisation (OIS), a 50-megapixel Sony IMX816 telephoto lens that can zoom up to two times, and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera. They’ll receive front cameras with 50 megapixels.
