Vivo is gearing up to launch a new smartphone in the Indian market next week. The company has been teasing the Vivo V50e for quite some time, and now it has an official launch date. Along with revealing the India launch date, the firm has shed some light on the key specs of the upcoming smartphone. The smartphone will succeed last year’s Vivo V40e. The device is confirmed to feature a 50MP front-facing selfie camera with eye autofocus, and both front and rear cameras are confirmed to support 4K video recording. According to Vivo’s latest X post, Vivo V50e is scheduled to launch in India on April 10 at noon. The company has already revealed that the smartphone will be available via Flipkart in the country. Through its dedicated microsite, the Chinese firm has confirmed that the upcoming phone will come in two colour options, Sapphire Blue and Pearl White. The device will have IP68 & IP69 ratings, offering protection against water, dust, and high-pressure sprays.

The Vivo V50 is said to feature a camera island with an OIS-enabled Sony IMX882 main sensor, ultra-wide-angle lens, and Aura LED flash. Moreover, the Sony Multifocal Pro Portrait camera is designed for magical portraits with three focal lengths: 26mm (1x), 39mm (1.5x), and 52mm (2x). It features a 50MP Eye-AF Group Selfie Camera for clear, dynamic selfies, 4K video recording on both front and rear cameras, and India’s Exclusive Wedding Portrait Studio for memorable photos with a combination of wedding-style portrait and film camera modes. Besides this, the upcoming phone will also sport AI features like AI Image Expander, AI Note Assist, Circle-to-Search and AI Transcript Assist.

Rumours and leaks suggest that the Vivo V50e will be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC and run on Funtouch OS 15 with Android 15 out of the box. It is likely to have a 6.77-inch 1.5K screen. The handset is expected to pack a 5,600mAh battery with 90W fast charging support.
