Vivo X Fold 5 with 120Hz refresh rate 8T LTPO display launched in India

The foldable phone packs a 6,000mAh battery.

Vivo has officially introduced its new foldable phone, Vivo X Fold 5, in India today. The foldable smartphone has a 6.53-inch 8T LTPO cover display and an 8.03-inch inner flexible panel. The book-style phone is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. It comes with IPX8+IPX9+IPX9+ and IP5X ratings. Additionally, the handset supports 80W wired, 40W wireless fast charging. It also includes Zeiss-backed triple rear cameras.

Vivo X Fold 5 Specifications, Features

The Vivo X Fold 5 has an 8.03-inch 8T LTPO flexible internal display with 2480 × 2200 pixels of resolution and a 6.53-inch 8T LTPO exterior display with 2748 × 1172 pixels of resolution. Both the screen supports a high-frequency PWM dimming rate, a 120Hz refresh rate and a 4,500 nits local peak brightness. The panels come with TÜV Rheinland global eye protection 3.0, along with Zeiss Master colour certification. The handset includes IP5X grade for dust protection and an IPX8+IPX9+IPX9+ rating for water resistance. For further protection, it includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

Under the hood, there is a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 CPU that supports up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS4.1 internal storage. The foldable comes pre-installed with OriginOS 5, which is based on Android 15. Smart Fold AIOS is a comprehensive productivity suite with intuitive, systematic interaction, including the Origin Workbench, Gemini Assistant, Circle to Search, Office Multitasker, AI Captions, Smart Call Assistant, vivo DocMaster, and AI Imaging Studio. It offers features like Live Text-Air Extract, Gemini Assistant, and Image Enhance.

The Vivo X Fold 5 features a Zeiss-backed triple rear camera setup led by a 50-megapixel (Sony IMX921) main sensor, a 50-megapixel (Samsung JN1) ultra-wide camera and a 50-megapixel (Sony IMX882) periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom capability. The device also has telephoto and macro functions. A 20-megapixel front-facing camera has been provided on the outer and the main display for taking selfies and video calling.

The foldable phone is backed by a 6,000mAh battery and supports both 80W wired and 40W wireless charging.

Vivo X Fold 5 Price in India, Availability

The price of Vivo X Fold 5 in India is set at Rs 1,49,999 for the 16GB RAM with 512GB storage. The Fold 5 will come in a Titanium Grey colour option. The pre-order window is currently open and is scheduled to go on sale in the country on July 30 at noon via Flipkart and Vivo’s official site.
