Vivo Y28s and Y28e with 5,000mAh battery launched in India

Both smartphones are powered by Dimensity 6100+ 5G SoC.

Vivo has expanded its Y-Series portfolio in India by launching two new smartphones- Vivo Y28s, and Vivo Y28e. Both smartphones come with MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ 5G SoCs. The devices come with a 90Hz LCD display with TUV Rheinland Low Blue Light certification. In addition to this, they run on Android 14-based Funtouch OS 14.

The phone is available in two colour varieties Vintage Red and Twinkling Purple.

The handset is offered in Breeze Green and Vintage Red colour options.

Both the devices can now be purchased via Flipkart, vivo India e-store, and across all partner retail stores in the country.

Specifications

The 6.56-inch LCD screen of the Vivo Y28s and Y28e, the only difference is that Y28s supports HD+ resolution whereas the latter one is outfitted with an HD display. However, both of them have a refresh rate of 90Hz. The display offers a maximum brightness of 840 nits and is certified by TUV Rheinland Low Blue Light.

Their 6nm octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 6100 5G processor, which comes with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM on the Y28s, powers them. You can increase the inbuilt memory to a maximum of 16GB. The handsets run on Funtouch OS 14, which is based on Android 14.

In terms of photography and videography, Vivo Y28s sports two rear cameras, one of which is a 50-megapixel Sony IMX852 main sensor. It has a 5-megapixel portrait camera on the front for selfies and video calling. The dual camera setup on the Vivo Y28e boasts a 13-megapixel primary sensor. Additionally, it sports a 5-megapixel selfie camera.

A 5,000mAh battery with 15W fast charging backs the smartphones. Both mobile phones include several sensors on board, such as a fingerprint scanner positioned on the side, proximity sensor, e-compass, accelerometer, and motor. In terms of connectivity, they include 5G, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, Wi-Fi, and a USB Type-C port for charging. Their construction is water and dust-resistant, with an IP64 rating.
