Western Digital, which provides storage solutions, has announced the launch of its new Pendrive-SanDisk iXpand Flash Drive Luxe in India. This is the company’s first 2-in-1 Flash Drive for convenient file transfer between devices. In addition to this, it can also be used with iPhone devices and Mac computers. It comes with an all-metal casing with a slim design. As per the company, the SanDisk iXpand Flash Drive Luxe provides a sleek way for users to seamlessly access and move files between iPhone, iPad Pro, Mac and other USB Type-C devices, including Android phones.

Commenting on the launch, Mr. Jaganathan Chelliah, Director – Marketing, India, Western Digital, said, “Today’s consumers are always on-the-go – working from remote locations, travelling, and switching from place to place while creating content on their iPhones and transferring it to multiple other devices for editing, sharing and back up. With the launch of the new SanDisk iXpand Flash Drive Luxe, Western DIgital is trying to solve the hassle of moving files between devices with different connectors. It is claimed to be the company’s first flash drive with dual Lightning and USB Type-C connectors that enables a quick move of files, eliminating the need to email content from one device to another in order to upload or save. When the files are saved on the drive, they can be transferred using the high-speed USB 3.0 connector to a USB Type-C-compatible computer.

Privacy has also been taken care of as with this Pendrive, one can enable password to protect their files and personal stuff using the iXpand Drive app. Similarly, this app can also be used to free up space on an iPhone or to automatically back up photos, videos, documents and contacts without the hassle of a slow internet connection. Other than having an all-metal casing it has a  dual-purpose swivel design that protects connectors and features a keyring hole.

The SanDisk iXpand Flash Drive Luxe comes in 64GB, 128GB and 256GB storage options. These come with a 2-year limited warranty and is available now at the Western Digital Store, Amazon and other select retailers. The price of the 64GB storage is priced at Rs 4,449 while the 128GB variant at Rs 5,919 and Rs 8,999 for the 256GB model.
