Meta has updated WhatsApp channels with more interactive features. The instant messaging platform’s broadcasting feature will be integrated with polls, voice notes, a function to share channel updates on your status, and a feature to promote new admins. These features have been under the pipeline since last year. The four new features will improve the user experience and give channel owners and their viewers greater control.
Meta’s CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, revealed through his WhatsApp channel that a total of four features will be rolled out soon to WhatsApp channels. According to him, Voice notes, Multiple admins, Sharing to Status and Polls will be part of the latest update.

With Voice notes, WhatsApp channel admins will be allowed to share voice notes within their channels. This feature will make communication with followers more engaging.
Another latest feature enhancement is the addition of Multiple Admins to promote collaborative channel management. Several admins will assist channel owners in adding fresh content to their channels; therefore, visibility is improved.

On the other hand, polls are the latest addition to the instant messaging platform’s broadcasting feature. This feature was already available on WhatsApp group chats but is now being expanded to Channels allowing users to make more than one choice at once. The ability to share polls will enable channel administrators to improve engagement with their followers. It will also let admins know their followers better by getting comments, likes, dislikes, and thoughts.
