WhatsApp for iOS and Android beta testers gets the ability to share sticker pack

Senders can share a collection of stickers all at once.

WhatsApp recently introduced a new sticker-sharing option for beta testers of WhatsApp for iOS and Android. Users may select a sticker pack and share it with another user, enabling them to install the same pack on their phone. Some beta testers have access to this functionality, and in the upcoming weeks, more people will be able to utilise it.

A WABetaInfo report claims that WhatsApp is launching a feature that allows users to exchange sticker packs, and certain beta testers have access to it. The instant messaging company was previously seen developing a feature that would enable users to easily send full sticker packs to friends and group conversations by creating and sharing them straight from the app. Although this functionality is still being developed, it has already been made available to select beta testers, allowing them to share whole sticker packs with their contacts.

This feature was also announced on X, suggesting it might be available to a wider audience.

According to the screenshot that was published, users can access the sticker picker and find a new three-dot menu option for each sticker pack. By doing this, individuals may choose to remove the pack from their own collection or share it with the current chat. When using WhatsApp’s share option for first-party stickers, a link to the pack is generated, guaranteeing efficiency and enabling recipients to access and download the pack from the official sticker store without having to re-upload already-existing stickers.

Furthermore, WhatsApp users may share customised or personalised stickers by uploading and sharing third-party sticker packs with contacts and group conversations. Nevertheless, a few beta testers have mentioned running into error warnings while trying to share these stickers, indicating that the functionality could require improvement and be included in a later release.

Sharing entire sticker packs offers convenience and time-saving over sending individual stickers. Users can send a cohesive set of stickers in one go, allowing recipients to import them into their libraries with a simple tap. This improved sharing process makes it easier for friends and family to exchange creative sticker collections, enhancing the personalization of conversations.
