It seems that WhatsApp is prepping up to introduce some pivotal changes to the WhatsApp web. News is rife that the Facebook-owned instant messaging app is working on the advanced dark theme as well as doodle features for this desktop version of WhatsApp that is available for Android, Blackberry, and Windows phone users.
If reports are to be believed WhatsApp will soon be executing its plan to introduce a new feature under its theme settings to automatically change the theme from light to dark and dark to light on the basis of the system preferences, as revealed by a WABetaInfo.
In order to try using this new future, follow this simple path:
- First open WhatsApp Web,
- Now click on the hamburger menu located atop the version
- Tap on Settings
- Click Theme
- Opt for System default.
Furthermore, it was revealed WhatsApp Web is likely to introduce an enhanced doodles feature that will allow users to add doodles in chat solid wallpaper. However, WABetaInfo further notified that these features are in the developmental phase and it will be available in the messaging platform in the future.
Recently, WhatsApp has also introduced a special forwarded label to messages shared in chats that have been forwarded many times. According to the WhatsApp blog post, “These two arrows help people know when they’ve received a message that was not written by close contact. Earlier this year, we set limits on how many times they can be sent at once to maintain the private nature of WhatsApp.”
The WhatsApp blog post had added that the Facebook-owned instant messaging app is piloting a simple way to double-check these messages by tapping a magnifying glass button in the chat. Providing a simple way to search messages that have been forwarded many times may help people find news results or other sources of information about the content they have received.
As per WhatsApp, this feature works by allowing users to upload the message via their browser without WhatsApp ever seeing the message itself. Moreover, Search the web was also rolled out in Brazil, Italy, Ireland, Mexico, Spain, UK, and the US for those on the latest versions of WhatsApp for Android, iOS and WhatsApp Web. Additionally, WhatsApp has also made it easier to focus on whoever you want by letting you press and hold to maximize a participant’s video to full screen with now up to 8 people on a video call.
