Xiaomi 14 Civi India launch confirmed for June 12, camera module design teased

Many models, including the Civi 1S, Civi 2, Civi 3, and Civi 4 Pro, have been released by the firm in China since 2021.

The launch date of Xiaomi’s 14 Civi smartphone—which is allegedly a repackaged Civi 4 Pro—in India has been revealed. It is known that the phone will launch on June 12. The device was teased by the firm last week. In China, Xiaomi’s Civi series is well-liked. The teaser video was released last week that pokes fun with Apple’s Crush advertisement for its newest iPad series by emphasising that creativity cannot be crushed and features enigmatic “Cinematic Vision” text.

On X, formerly known as Twitter, Xiaomi’s official account announced that its next device will be launched in the country on June 12. Additionally, a photo of the phone that showcased its camera module was posted.

The back of the phone features a circular camera module. A metallic ring will encircle the circular module which appears to have triple camera lenses bearing the Leica branding.

Although there isn’t much information available about the Xiaomi 14 Civi, it is believed to be a reincarnated Civi 4 Pro that made its debut in China in March.

If the rumours about the Xiaomi 14 Civi are accurate then the upcoming smartphone will be powered by a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 CPU with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. It will flaunt a 6.55-inch full-HD+ OLED display with Gorilla Glass 2 protection and a refresh rate of 120Hz.

The Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro is equipped with three rear cameras so the the Xiaomi 14 Civi is likely to have a similar camera module led by a 50-megapixel primary lens with Leica Summilux lens and optical image stabilisation (OIS). Furthermore, it is expected to include a 50-megapixel portrait sensor along with a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor. It may also include two 32-megapixel selfie cameras as part of a dual-camera arrangement on the front.

The device was initially hinted at by the business last week in a short video teaser that parodied Apple’s Crush advertisement for its most recent iPad lineup. In order to unveil the new iPad Pro model, Apple used a hydraulic press to crush a variety of instruments and art supplies in their advertisement. Similar events occur at the beginning of the Xiaomi video, but instead of the hydraulic press breaking down while it is moving downward, Cinematic Vision text appears on the screen demonstrating how creativity is invincible.
