Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Ultra with Snapdragon 8 Elite launched in India

The Ultra variant in the Xiaomi 15 series features an impressive 200MP periscope telephoto camera with 4.2x optical zoom.

Xiaomi has launched its newest flagship smartphone series in India. The Xiaomi 15 series consists of a vanilla base variant and a top-spec Ultra variant. Both smartphones are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and come with HyperOS 2 out of the box. The Xiaomi 15 series will go on sale in India on April 3. The pre-booking window kicks off on March 19 and ends on April 2.

The Xiaomi 15 is available in a single 12GB RAM + 512GB storage variant. It is priced at Rs 64,999. Xiaomi is offering a Rs 5,000 cashback offer for ICICI bank customers. Users who pre-book the device get a complimentary Xiaomi Care Plan worth Rs 5,999. There are 3 colour options on offer – Black, Green, and White.

The top-spec Xiaomi 15 Ultra is priced at Rs 1,09,999. It is available in a single 16GB RAM + 512GB storage variant. There is a Rs 10,000 cashback offer available for ICICI bank customers. Xiaomi is also offering a complimentary Photography kit (Legend Edition) worth Rs 11,999 to users who pre-book the device. This Photography Kit consists of a 67mm film filter adapter, a physical shutter button, and a DSLR-like grip with a built-in 2,000mAh battery pack. The Ultra variant is available in a single Silver Chrome colour option.

The base variant in the Xiaomi 15 series flaunts a 6.36-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, and 3,200 nits of peak brightness. The rear camera panel is packed with three 50MP sensors – one each for the primary shooter, ultrawide lens, and 2.6x telephoto lens. Up front, a 32MP selfie camera is housed inside a punch-hole cutout. The 5,240mAh Si/C battery supports 90W wired and 50W wireless charging.

The Xiaomi 15 Ultra has a 6.73-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ & HDR Vivid support, and 3,200 nits of peak brightness. The quad-camera panel features a 50MP primary shooter with a 1-inch sensor, a 50MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, a 50MP ultrawide lens, and a 200MP periscope telephoto lens with 4.3x optical zoom. For selfies, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra uses a 32MP sensor. The 5,410mAh battery pack on the Ultra variant supports 90W wired and 80W wireless charging.

Both smartphones in the Xiaomi 15 series are powered by Qualcomm’s flagship chipset for 2025 – Snapdragon 8 Elite. The smartphones run the Android 15-based HyperOS 2 out of the box. They carry an IP68 rating and can be submerged up to 1.5m for 30 minutes.

Final Thoughts

As mentioned earlier, the pre-booking window for the Xiaomi 15 series will commence on March 19 at 5 PM IST. The smartphones will officially go on sale in India on April 3. Xiaomi will retail its flagship series through its online store, Amazon, and physical retail stores.
