Xiaomi 15 Ultra with Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset announced globally, India launch date revealed

The device was unveiled in China on February 27, while the standard and Pro models were first introduced in October 2024.

Xiaomi 15 Ultra was launched globally ahead of the Mobile World Congress 2025 in Barcelona. The phone features a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, up to 16GB of RAM, LTPO AMOLED displays, and silicon carbon batteries with 90W fast charging support. Besides this, the company has also revealed the India launch of the Xiaomi 15 Series next week.

Xiaomi officially announced the global launch of Xiaomi 15 Ultra, its flagship smartphone, which recently debuted in China. The series already includes a standard and the Pro variant, which were announced in October last year. The based model has also made its global debut. None of the devices have made their entry into the Indian market, but now the company has confirmed its arrival. Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Ultra are coming to India on March 11.

Xiaomi 15 Ultra 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage costs EUR 1,499 which converts to Rs 1,36,100. The Xiaomi 15 has been launched globally with a price tag of EUR 999, which translates to Rs 90,700 for the 12GB RAM with 256GB storage model.

Xiaomi 15 Ultra Specifications

The Xiaomi 15 Ultra features a 6.73-inch WQHD+ quad curved LTPO AMOLED display with 1,440×3,200 pixels of resolution. The panel supports a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 3,200nits peak brightness. The device runs on HyperOS 2 with Android 15 skinned on top and is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and has up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage.

The device packs Leica-branded quad rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel primary lens, a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera, a 50-megapixel Sony IMX858 telephoto camera sensor and a 200-megapixel ISOCELL HP9 periscope telephoto lens. There is a 32-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies.

The phone is backed by a 5,410mAh silicon carbon battery with 90W wired and 80W wireless charging support.

The phone supports 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, GPS, NFC, and a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port for connectivity. Along with an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, the phone includes an accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, compass and barometer.
