Xiaomi Pad 8 price has been hiked by Rs 2,000 in India across all RAM and storage variants. The tablet, which launched in March, has a 13-megapixel back camera, a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 engine, and a large 9,200mAh battery that enables 45W fast charging. The display is unique for its size of 11.2 inches, with a 3.2K resolution and 144Hz refresh rate.

The price increases are largely driven by increasing component prices and continuing worldwide chip shortages. The new pricing can be seen on the Xiaomi India website. Other companies, such as OnePlus and Poco, have also hiked the prices of their smartphones lately.

Xiaomi Pad 8’s 8GB RAM/128GB storage option now retails for Rs 35,999, a Rs 2,000 costly from its prior pricing of Rs 33,999. The 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant has gone up from Rs 36,999 to Rs 38,999 while the bundle with Xiaomi Focus Pen Pro has climbed up to Rs 43,999, up from Rs 41,999. Also, the Nano Texture display option (12GB RAM with 256GB storage) has jumped up from Rs 38,999 to Rs 40,999, with the same model that comes with the Xiaomi Focus Pen Pro being priced at Rs 45,999, up from Rs 43,999.

The Xiaomi Pad 8 has an 11.2-inch 3.2K display with a resolution of 3,200×2,136 pixels. It offers a refresh rate of up to 144Hz and a peak brightness of 800 nits. Its display supports advanced visual technologies including Dolby Vision, HDR10, and the DCI-P3 colour gamut, with a pixel density of 345ppi. Furthermore, TÜV Rheinland has certified the gadget, assuring features such as low blue light, flicker-free operation, and circadian compatibility. Users may choose between a basic glossy display and a nano-texture version that minimises glare and reflections.

The Xiaomi Pad 8 is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 mobile platform, which is built on a 4nm technology and has an octa-core CPU with a Cortex-X4 core capable of reaching speeds of up to 3.2GHz, as well as an Adreno 825 GPU. The device is available with either 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM or 12GB of LPDDR5T RAM, with storage options of up to 256GB using UFS 4.1 technology. It runs on Xiaomi HyperOS 3 and has a variety of AI features.

The Xiaomi Focus Pen Pro is intended to boost creativity for creators, students, and professionals who prefer hand-drawn designs on tablets. It supports over 16,000 pressure levels and has ultra-low latency (<1 ms) for fast stroke response. Notably, it is the first Android pen to provide rotation capabilities, which enhances drawing control. Hover capabilities, haptic feedback, and a buttonless design enhance the intuitive experience for sketching, annotating, and taking notes.

The Xiaomi Pad 8 has a 13-megapixel rear camera with an f/2.2 aperture, which can capture 4K video at 30fps. It sports an 8-megapixel front-facing camera capable of recording 1080p video at 30fps.

The Xiaomi Pad 8 tablet comes with a quad-speaker system that supports Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res audio, which improves the audio experience. It supports a wide range of audio formats, including MP3, FLAC, AAC, OGG, and WAV. The gadget is powered by a large 9,200mAh battery that enables 45W fast charging. Furthermore, it supports various charging standards, including PD 3.0 and QC 3.0.

Xiaomi Pad 8 boosts productivity with PC-level browser compatibility, which includes mouse-hover previews and improved navigation tools, making it suitable for activities like presentations and document editing. Its hyperconnectivity function enables smooth transitions and communication across Xiaomi devices. Furthermore, the tablet includes four years of Android OS upgrades and six years of security updates to ensure long-term stability.
