The Xiaomi SU7, the company’s first-ever passenger automobile was officially unveiled at a launch event in China which was specifically focused on EV technology. It is confirmed that Xiaomi’s HyperOS will be the operating system and the electric vehicle is shown in a grey Green and Blue, sedan-style appearance. It will come with five-spoke alloy wheels and Michelin tyres. The EV is said to include smartphone and smart home accessory integration as well. The acronym SU in the Xiaomi SU7 represents Speed Ultra.

The Chinese tech giant Xiaomi has officially entered the auto industry by launching its first car. The company unveiled the Xiaomi SU7 at its Stride event held in China. It is a sedan-style electric vehicle (EV) that is said to debut in China next year.

Xiaomi’s first-ever passenger automobile will be available in three colour options Agua Blue, Mineral Gray, or Verdant Green. The electric car has five-spoke alloy wheels with Michelin tyres and a Mi logo on the wheel caps. There will be two available wheel sizes: 19 and 20 inches. The dimensions of the tyres are 245/45 R19 and 245/40 R20, respectively. The Xiaomi car has a tapered hood and small LED headlamps up front. It will come with a slim light strip that connects to the LED tail lamps at the back.

Three distinct Xiaomi SU7 variants have been unveiled by the company, each with a distinct set of features- SU7, SU7 Pro, and SU7 Max. It will come in RWD and AWD drive configurations. Moreover, some of its models will include a LIDAR scanner. The EV will come equipped with several safety and security functions that will make use of a LIDAR scanner.
SU7 measurements are 1,963 x 1,440 x 4,997 mm. Its wheelbase measures 3,000 mm. It weighs between 1,980 and 2,205 kg, based on the model.

The RWD variant has an electric motor positioned at the back with a maximum power output of 299 horsepower. It comes with a max. speed of 10 kmph. On the other hand, the AWD drive configuration includes a dual electric motor that produces 673 horsepower and a maximum speed of 265 horsepower.

There will be two battery pack alternatives however, Xiaomi has not yet disclosed their specifications. Besides this Xiaomi SU7 will run the Xiaomi HyperOS.
