In India, the Vivo smartphone made its debut a few weeks ago. It offers flagship-level performance, camera, durability, and overall user experience, making it a true standout. Every single thing here is excellent. It’s not flawless, though, since no device is. For more than a month, we have been putting this phone to the test, and it has amazed us at every step. Here is our review of the Vivo X200 FE.

Design and Display
Let’s begin with the contents of the package. X200 FE is branded on the retail package. The phone itself is seen when we open it up to the top. The SIM ejector pin, an X200 series card, a soft silicon casing, and some documents that we are certain no one reads are next. The 90 W charging adapter and USB-C cable are also included in this package.
Let’s now examine the design and construction in more detail. We offer the Luxe Grey, a shade of black that is slightly lighter. The matte-finished, all-glass rear is very smooth and delicate to the touch. The best aspect is that it doesn’t catch smudges or fingerprints. We particularly adore the side frame’s matte surface, black hue, and metal construction. It weighs only 186g and is very thin at 8mm.
The size and weight are ideal for holding in the hand, especially for people with small hands like us.
A vertically oriented three-camera system is shown in the rear panel. There is a power standby button and volume rockers on the side. Okay, let’s get to the display. The Vivo phone features a 6.31-inch 1.5K AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1,216×2,640 pixels. A refresh rate of 120Hz and a maximum brightness of 1,800 nits are supported by the display panel.
The clarity and colour reproduction are really stunning, vivid, and powerful. Everything is also clearly readable outside in the sunlight. Because the content is so fluid and seamless, watching films and videos is a lot of fun. The bezels are hardly noticeable. The content seems clear and bright since HDR is supported. Stunningly beautiful.
Next, we checked the YouTube app. Yet again, HDR content is incredibly beautiful. The best thing is that videos in 4K at 60 frames per second will play without any delay or stuttering. really smooth. We promise you that this is so excellent that you could watch it for hours on end.
Okay, moving on to the sound. Hearing rich sound in such a compact form factor shocked us. Thanks to the dual studio speaker, it’s powerful, clear, and incredibly immersive, especially while viewing a thrilling flick. It’s simply really fulfilling.

To unlock the handset, the company has included an optical fingerprint sensor in the display. It unlocks the phone practically instantaneously thanks to the fast and snappy in-display fingerprint sensor. We only wish it was positioned a little bit higher.
Performance and Cameras
It is powered by the MediaTek 9300 Plus chipset, which is speedy and incredibly dependable but still falls short of becoming the best flagship. Up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage and up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM are included. Unfortunately, SD card expansion is not supported. However, even the entry-level model starts at 256GB, which we believe is more than most users would require.
We have to admit that everything works as a unit, being incredibly responsive and quick. This phone has been with us for a month, and no slowdowns or crashes of the app have occurred. Our version had 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM with the ability to expand it using virtual RAM when the phone needs it.
Apps load up pretty fast. It’s really easy to multitask between these apps. The majority of recently used applications are still in memory because of an abundance of RAM, and there is no latency. They immediately launched.
The Antutu benchmark was run as well, and the result was 13,98,002, which we believe is a respectable score for a phone of this stature.
Although we believe our 512GB of storage, which is of storage type UFS 3.1, is enough, UFS 4.0 would have been fantastic. Nonetheless, we assure you that the experience is still great.
Now let’s discuss gaming. The FE has really good gaming capabilities. And what could be better than the most popular BGMI? First off, you may significantly improve your gaming experience by switching to the boost mode from the performance panel. And what a fantastic experience that was. Extremely responsive and quick. Not even a trace of stuttering or lag.
In the graphics settings, we achieved around 90 frames per second; however, that would slightly increase the phone’s temperature. When we reset it to 60 frames per second, the gameplay remained incredibly dependable and steady. You could play for hours on end, and the performance wouldn’t falter.
Let’s address the user experience and the operating system. Well, the incredibly smooth 120 Hz refresh rate is the very first thing that catches our eye. It’s highly optimised, in our opinion. Everything moves well. Very, very pleasant. It comes pre-installed with Android 15. Additionally, it’s pretty good, well-optimised, and functional. Users will find a few added apps.
Fortunately, you can remove any that you don’t require. Overall, it was a really pleasant and tidy user experience.
With a triple rear camera array, the vivo ZEISS co-engineered image system manages the photography department. A 50-megapixel Sony IMX921 main sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS), a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and OIS, and an 8-megapixel wide-angle camera with a 120-degree field of view are all part of the system. The 50-megapixel front-facing camera on the device is ideal for selfies. Supported by VCS True Colour Main Camera technology, the X200 FE cameras come equipped with features including ZEISS Style Portrait, Street Photography Mode, and Stage Portrait Studio.
Thanks to the 50 MP main wide camera, we were able to take some amazing photos. ZEISS and Vivo make an almost invincible combination. You’ll ace it if you simply point and shoot. Both the hue and dynamic range are well balanced.
We believe that the X200 FE provides an experience that is comparable to that of the X200 Pro, which is rather remarkable given that it is far less expensive. By just swiping from below in the camera app, you can turn on street mode, which is another great feature. Another good option available to you is the focal lens. The following styles are available: Z natural, vivid black and white, and textured. A few of them even outperform a professional camera. Stunning.

Although we wish it had a higher megapixel sensor, you can still get some amazing wide photos and landscapes unless you pixel peep. When it comes to portraiture, Vivo is the best, and the X series is a master at it. The ideal bokeh is produced by taking pictures at various focus lengths. The blur seems very natural.
It is possible to record video at 60 frames per second in 4K. Because of OIS, it is often rather steady. The colours are natural and quite pleasing. However, if you like a really smooth video, you may switch to full HD 60 frames per second. To be honest, 4K 60 fps was equally fantastic.
Then there are also excellent photos from the 50 MP front camera. It achieves the ideal dynamic range for accurate hues and realistic skin tones.

Poor battery life was the main reason we avoided using small phones in the past, but that is no longer the case. It would be easy for us to go a whole day without requiring a charger.
Additionally, keep in mind that the battery drain isn’t that great because the display isn’t massive. We assure you that it has a significant impact. Nevertheless, the package also includes a 90-watt charger that can fully charge the phone in less than an hour.
We usually charged the phone at 20% for 30 to 35 minutes, giving us a battery of 80 to 85% that will last you the entire day without any issues. The battery life is fantastic; however, we are missing something we all have become used to. You can’t charge wirelessly.

Alright, concluding. Vivo has thus almost provided us with a flagship-level experience at a cost that is reasonable and accessible. Undoubtedly, it has taken some cuts, but overall, it provides really fantastic value. It’s lightweight, small, and incredibly powerful, and the cameras are just amazing.

Realme’s new number series comprises 2 smartphones – Realme 15 and Realme 15 Pro. We took a close look at the Pro model last week and found it to be an exciting prospect in the sub-Rs 35,000 price bracket. We now turn our attention to the vanilla model, which is currently priced at Rs 23,999. It flaunts the same 6.8-inch AMOLED display as the Pro model. Both smartphones are rated IP68/69 rating and are compliant with MIL-STD-810H standards. However, the vanilla model packs a MediaTek Dimensity 7300+ chipset under its hood instead of a Snapdragon processor like its Pro counterpart. We used the smartphone for a week and put it through a series of tests. Here is our Realme 15 review.

Both models in the Realme 15 series follow the same design language. The vanilla model is available in fibreglass and eco leather back panel variants. The former comes in Flowing Silver and Silk Pink paint shades. The eco leather back panel variant, which we used for this review, is available in a Velvet Green colour. We like this deep shade of green, as it is a charming respite from the standard black, grey, and white colour themes.
The eco leather back has an incredible in-hand feel. Its texture is a smidge coarser than the matte finish panels commonly found in midrange smartphones. This texture keeps fingerprints at bay. The camera panel is moulded out of the same material as the rest of the panel. The three cutouts, LED flash, and fill light are placed in this slightly elevated panel.
The eco leather back panel gently curves into the aluminium frame. This frame houses the volume rocker and the side button on its right edge. The SIM slot, primary microphone, USB Type-C port, and primary speaker grille find their way to the bottom edge. The secondary speaker and noise-cancelling microphone are placed up top.
The 6.8-inch curved AMOLED display has a 144Hz refresh rate and can reach 1,800 nits in High Brightness Mode. While playing HDR content, it can hit a peak brightness of 6,500 nits. In outdoor conditions, this display is able to overcome the bright environment with ease and maintain legibility. Its optical fingerprint scanner is snappy and accurate. The touch response is smooth and fluid. Being a curved panel, it does register the odd accidental touch, but it is not a frequent occurrence.
We used the Realme 15 as our primary media streaming device during the review period. We were quite happy with the vivid and detailed visuals relayed by the OLED panel. You can choose a colour profile for this display from the settings. We tried all of these profiles and found ourselves coming back to the DCI-P3 one. The stereo speaker setup on this smartphone produces a loud audio output, but it sounds slightly boxy.
One of the biggest assets of the Realme 15 is its durability. The smartphone is compliant with MIL-STD-810 standards. It can absorb a decent knock without getting damaged. If you accidentally drop the smartphone from your pocket, you don’t need to worry about the back panel getting cracked. With an IP68/69 rating onboard, this device is completely waterproof. It can survive being submerged in water up to 2 metres for about 30 minutes.
Realme 15 Review: Performance and Cameras

We ran the Geekbench 6 and AnTuTu 3D benchmarks on the smartphone. Here’s how it scored.
The Dimensity 7300+ processor is reliable for everyday use. Our daily tasks included calling, instant messaging, social media browsing, emailing, media streaming, and navigation. The Realme 15 did not hit a single roadblock in the review period. Even though it doesn’t use the fastest RAM and storage configurations, it still manages to be quite snappy. The device does a good job of juggling multiple apps together. Its optimisation skills are on point.
During the review period, we played titles like Call of Duty Mobile and BGMI on the Realme 15. We kept the graphics at medium settings and pushed the frame rate to 90fps. The gameplay was smooth and free of stutters. The 7000mm² VC cooling system did a good job of handling the internal temperature of the device. The back panel started warming up after 30 minutes of consistent gaming. AI features like GT Boost and Ultra Touch Control push the frame rate and minimise the latency of touch controls. The AI Gaming Coach analyses in-game situations and offers helpful tips along the way. This seems like a bit of a gimmicky feature right now, but it is an interesting concept. We’d like to see Realme work on it and flesh it out in the future.
Handling the OS duties on the Realme 15 is the Android 15-based Realme UI 6. There are a lot of bloatware apps on the device, which is not surprising for a midrange smartphone. We do like that Realme has its own messaging and dialer apps. The phone is packed with AI features. You get Gemini AI assistant and Circle to Search right out of the box.
Bloatware Apps
Realme’s AI Edit Genie is one of the more interesting features on the device. It’s similar to the voice command image editing feature that was recently unveiled on the Google Pixel 10 series. The idea is simple – you tell your phone the changes you want to see in an image, and it makes the necessary edits using AI. If you’re not a big fan of voice commands, you can type them out as well. Once the command has been registered, it takes the smartphone 10-15 seconds to make the edit. The results were hit or miss for us. The device did a great job of removing objects from images (much better than the object eraser in the native photo editor), but we found that it messed up some of the text in the pictures. Another exciting feature on the Realme 15 is the Pulse Light. Bordering the ultrawide lens, it lights up when you receive a call or notification. You can program it to dance along with music, act as a countdown timer, and wake up when Gemini is triggered. You can also choose to keep it switched on at all times if you don’t mind it drawing more juice from the battery.

The dynamic range of the images is decent. In limited lighting conditions, the smartphone does a good job of illuminating the subject and keeping the noise to a minimum.
Images taken with the 8MP ultrawide camera are visibly softer, but they showcase vibrant colours. The sensor lacks autofocus, which makes it less than ideal if you want to capture a subject in your near field. However, wide landscape shots were handled very well. India has launched ten semiconductor fab projects, costing Rs 1.6 lakh crore, across six states. The first Made-in-India chip is expected to be released later this year in Sanand, Gujarat.
The launch of the OSAT Pilot Line in Gujarat is a key step towards Bharat’s aim of expanding semiconductor design, production, and downstream capabilities. Shri Vaishnaw emphasised the importance of the line, noting that chips produced there would be utilised for customer qualification, making it simpler for commercial plants to begin full-scale manufacturing of approved goods. This is one of the most significant milestones completed by the India Semiconductor Mission, which has authorised 10 projects to date.
The India Semiconductor Mission intends to build a worldwide pipeline of skilled professionals to overcome a one-million semiconductor professional shortfall by 2032. The government has collaborated with 270 institutions to provide sophisticated semiconductor design tools, which are already being utilised in over 1.2 crore applications by 2025. As a result, 20 chips designed by 17 institutions were successfully manufactured at the Semiconductor Laboratory in Mohali.
The CG Semi facility in Sanand, Gujarat, is India’s first full-scale Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test plant, providing comprehensive chip assembly, packaging, testing, and post-testing solutions, thereby strengthening India’s semiconductor capabilities and promoting self-reliance while serving global markets.
CG Semi is investing ₹7,600 crore (~USD 870 million) over five years in building two advanced facilities in Sanand, Gujarat. The G1 facility will provide chip assembly, packaging, testing, and post-test services. It has high-yield equipment, a MES for automation and traceability, and internal labs for reliability and failure analysis. The plant is now receiving ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 certifications. Customer qualifying will begin following the inauguration. CG Semi is on pace to begin commercial production in 2026.
