Realme P3 Pro Review: Design and Display

It is available in Nebula Glow and Saturn Brown colours. Nebula Glow is a stunning shade, particularly when seen in a dark environment. The phone’s back is composed of a substance that changes colour and light when exposed to UV light. But in our opinion, this feature will be less used.
Talking about the ports. An IR blaster, a microphone, and a top-firing speaker are located on top. A volume rocker is positioned well on the right side of the frame, making it simple to operate with one hand. The power button is positioned directly beneath the volume rocker. It has a microphone, a secondary downward-firing speaker, a USB Type C port, and a SIM tray placed at the bottom. Sadly, SD card expansion is not supported; therefore, we usually advise choosing the model with ample storage if possible. Nevertheless, the SIM tray can accommodate two 5G nano SIM cards.
Regarding robustness and longevity, the phone is up to IP69 water and dust-resistant. However, because Gorilla Glass protection is absent, it does not offer any kind of defence against drops. As a result, you need to use a protective case for shielding it. Although the rear panel and frame are made of plastic, they appear to be sturdy and have been curved from the sides to make the phone comfortable to hold and operate. Due to the large battery it contains, the phone is indeed heavy—it weighs about 193 grams.

The 6.83-inch 1.5K quad-curved AMOLED screen on the front of the Realme P3 Pro has 1,472×2,800 pixels of resolution. A refresh rate of 120Hz and a pixel density of 450 ppi are supported by the panel. Additionally, it offers a touch sampling rate of 240 Hz.
The edges of the display have thin bezels, while the top has a hole-punch notch. The colours are bright and efficient. Despite having a bright screen, the phone has trouble in direct sunshine outside.

The support for the 120Hz refresh rate is silky smooth and well-optimised. To save battery life or to achieve smoother animations and processes, you can choose between auto-select, standard, and high refresh rates.
However, we continue to use the auto-select option, which automatically chooses the optimal screen refresh rate to strike a balance between smoothness and battery life. The addition of a 240Hz touch sampling rate improves the gaming and typing experience. Overall, it’s a decent display for the price, and the touch response is very good.
Realme P3 Pro Review: Performance and Camera
The Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 from Qualcomm powers the system, together with up to 12 GB of LPDDR 4X RAM and 14 GB of expandable virtual RAM. Performance-wise, this chipset is strong and has an excellent benchmark score for its class.
We had no problems and were able to multitask effectively. You won’t be disappointed at all because the smartphone is incredibly responsive, and it feels speedy.
We didn’t detect any slowness, and the phone can keep a maximum amount of apps in the RAM stored for an extended period of time. Then, we have 256GB of storage with storage type UFS 3.1, which we believe is a very wise choice because it greatly speeds up processing.
We also felt the gaming performance was good. Additionally, it is designed to run BGMI at 90 frames per second, thanks to Realme’s partnership with Krafton. Even for such a low-cost phone, it has been incredibly well-optimised, and the gaming experience was decent—we didn’t notice any lag. It’s incredibly fluid. We played for a very long period as well. A sizable 6K VC cooling system has also been included by Realme to help preserve the phone’s performance during gaming.
The ability to bypass charging is another incredibly useful feature for gamers. Instead of charging the battery, your phone bypasses the chipset and charges the chipset when you wish to charge it while gaming. Although the operating system is based on Android 15, the Realme UI 6.0 skin could appear a bit dated. However, you are guaranteed three years of security updates and two years of OS upgrades. The same was provided for its predecessor as well.
It has an array of capabilities; however, we disliked the bloatware, especially the hot apps and hot games that come pre-installed. Yes, you may uninstall them.
In terms of sensors, the Realme P3 Pro 5G features a 50-megapixel Sony IMX896 primary camera with OIS, a 2-megapixel sensor that is only used to acquire depth data when utilising the Portrait camera mode, and a 16-megapixel Sony IMX480 front camera.
The primary sensor records details with good sharpness levels during the day. Additionally, the colours are pleasing and seem natural. Considering the resolution of the camera, the dynamic range is sufficient.
In addition, a 2MP depth sensor creates portraits with good details, sharpness levels, and realistic skin tones. Furthermore, the edge detection seems to be perfect.
In fact, unlike some of its rivals, the smartphone does not have a macro lens or an ultrawide camera.
But we did try a few close-ups, and they came out beautifully. In this price range, the photos are decent, and in good lighting, the colours appear vibrant and real. Additionally, the level of sharpness is decent.
Surprisingly, the low-light photos had a great amount of detail and minimal noise. Considering the price range, we did not anticipate them to be this good. The night mode, which may be used in low-light conditions, worked incredibly well for us.
Regarding the selfie camera, the images looked acceptable overall, with details and skin tones that were accurate. Additionally, the Realme P3 Pro has perfect dynamic range and sharpness.
With its 6,000mAh battery, the phone’s 6.83-inch screen can operate for longer. Its amazing battery endurance allows for a full day of usage for social networking accounts, gaming, video watching, and online surfing. Its 80W fast-charging charger can juice up the battery in 30 minutes.
