Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge listed on BIS, India launch imminent

The Galaxy S25 Edge is anticipated to be released by Samsung in April.

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge, the slimmest variant in the Galaxy S25 series, has been seen on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website, indicating that it will soon be available in India. The device, which was teased at the company’s Galaxy Unpacked presentation in January, is rumoured to include a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip and be released in April.

The BIS website lists the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge, which appears to be the device’s Indian variant. Although Samsung has not declared regional availability, the listing on the Indian regulator’s website hints that it will launch in India soon. The Galaxy S25 Edge is expected to launch globally on April 16, with a possible sale a month later in select areas for around $999 (around Rs 86,900).

The gadget was initially introduced at the Galaxy Unpacked event alongside the Galaxy S25 series. Then, it was unveiled at MWC 2025. The phone is anticipated to be 5.84 mm thick. It will have a 6.65-inch display. The panel will have 1.32mm bezels, Pro Scaler upscaling technology from the S25 Ultra, and a maximum brightness of 2,600 nits. Like the S25 Ultra, which requires QHD+ resolution, the Edge may have this capability.

It will be equipped with a dual back camera arrangement that includes a 200-megapixel main camera and a 12MP ultrawide lens. It is expected to sport a 12-megapixel front camera as well.
