What is NYT Strands?
Strands is a game that combines connections, spelling bees, and crossword puzzles. Players solve Spangrams, which are 48 letters on a 6 × 8-inch board, to unveil daily themes.
How to Play?
The New York Times introduces a new daily game called Strands, which is a variation on the old word search. Players have to discover a set of words with a similar theme, which will disclose the theme word. Strands is accessible on the NYT website and app, along with Wordle and Connections. When a theme word is found, the game immediately highlights it in blue.

To recognise words in a board game, identify a spangram that connects at least two sides of the board. Each letter appears once in the theme words and spangram, and it can be connected vertically, horizontally, or diagonally. Switch directions in the midst of a word, then double-tap the last letter on a touchscreen to submit.
To reveal the Hint button, select three valid words with at least four letters that are not part of the theme, and then click to highlight the letters that form one of the theme words.
