What to Expect?

The company has not officially confirmed but Yogesh Brar predicts that the CMF Phone 2 Pro’s expected price in India is around Rs 20,000, with a base model offering 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

In terms of design, the CMF Phone 2 Pro will include the Essential Space feature, which debuted with the Nothing Phone 3a series. The phone is said to include a special “Essential key” positioned on the right side, near the power button.

As per teasers the Essential Space will work similarly to the Nothing Phone 3a series on the CMF Phone 2 Pro. The Essential Key supports the Camera Capture function on the Nothing Phone 3a series, but it is unclear whether it will be accessible on the future CMF Phone 2 Pro. This might enable users to easily take images and upload them to Essential Space.

Besides this, the upcoming phone will also have a triple back camera setup—two circular sensors positioned vertically on the rear panel, a third sensor in a smaller slot, and an LED flash unit beneath.

The triple back camera system includes a 50-megapixel sensor, a 50-megapixel telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom, and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera with a 119.5-degree angle of view. This is a major improvement over the CMF Phone 1, which had a dual back camera arrangement with a 50-megapixel Sony main sensor and a portrait unit.

The Phone 2 Pro is confirmed to come equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro SoC, which is said to deliver a 10% faster CPU and a 5% increase in graphics performance over its predecessor. The CPU will achieve 4.8 TOPS AI performance owing to MediaTek’s sixth-generation NPU.

The upcoming smartphone is likely to feature an AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. The company revealed that the CMF Phone 2 Pro would have a slim and light design, 120 fps BGMI gaming, 1,000 Hz touch sampling rate, and 53% network boost.
