Sandisk introduced WD_BLACK SN8100 NVMe SSD offering up to 14,900 MB/s speed

Sandisk launched the WD_BLACK SN8100 NVMe SSD, the world’s fastest PCIe Gen 5.0 NVMe SSD. This cutting-edge internal SSD has speeds of up to 14,900 MB/s and storage capacities of up to 8TB, making it suitable for high-performance gaming, video production, and AI tasks.

The Sandisk WD_BLACK SN8100 NVMe PCIe Gen 5.0 SSD is intended for professionals and avid PC gamers who want superior performance and dependability. It is perfect for demanding workflows and AI applications since it has lightning-fast speeds and is 100% more power efficient than Sandisk’s high-performance PCIe Gen 4.0 SSD. This SSD is made to optimise PC performance and meet the changing demands of AI applications, 4K and 8K video, and gaming graphics.

With its PCIe Gen 5.0×4 NVMe M.2 technology, the Sandisk SSD is a premium SSD that provides improved gaming and workflow experiences. It provides over 2,300,000 IOPS1 of random performance together with sequential rates of up to 14,900MB/s1 read and 14,000MB/s1 write. With energy optimisation for peak performance, the SSD is more than 100% more power efficient than Sandisk’s PCIe Gen 4.03. Because of its 2,400TBW endurance (4TB), it can handle demanding jobs like video editing, gaming, and AI workloads. Large datasets, AI-powered apps, and expanding game libraries may all be stored on the SSD, which can also support the biggest new games and projects.

The optional WD_BLACK SN8100 NVMe with PCIe Gen 5.0 SSD with Heatsink from Sandisk now comes with an RGB LED for customisation and anodised aluminium for low-profile passive cooling.

The WD_BLACK SN8100 NVMe SSD is currently available for purchase through all main IT reseller partners and e-commerce platforms, with capacity choices of 1TB (Rs 17,499), 2TB, and 4TB. The WD_BLACK SN8100 NVMe with Heatsink will be available this autumn in sizes of 1TB (Rs 18999), 2TB, and 4TB2. The 8TB2 WD_BLACK SN8100 NVMe SSD and WD_BLACK SN8100 NVMe SSD with Heatsink are said to be available later this year.
