Qualcomm announced Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 Mobile Platform, supports popular LLMs along with intuitive Gen AI assistants

The new mobile chipset comes with Snapdragon Adaptive Game Configuration.

Qualcomm has launched the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 Mobile Platform, a multimedia powerhouse that provides popular mobile experiences such as improved photography capabilities, gaming, and enhanced artificial intelligence. The platform has witnessed a 27% gain in CPU performance, 30% quicker GPU visual renderings, and a 65% increase in AI performance. Leading OEMs like as HONOR, vivo, and realme are anticipated to announce their acceptance of the Snapdragon 7 Generation 4.

Qualcomm Technologies has unveiled the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 Mobile Platform, the latest addition to its 7-series lineup. This platform promises to improve multimedia experiences while still providing solid performance. It has powerful picture processing and several Snapdragon Elite Gaming capabilities, allowing users to completely immerse themselves in their interests. The platform also includes cutting-edge AI features, such as Gen AI assistants and huge language models.

According to the company, HONOR and vivo will be the first to embrace Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, with the first smartphones set to be launched this month.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 Mobile Platform Features

The Snapdragon 7 series improves gaming and content production capabilities by combining the Qualcomm Kryo CPU and Adreno GPU to increase speed and efficiency. The Qualcomm Hexagon NPU enables quicker and more secure AI job processing, while the Snapdragon Elite Gaming features improve in-game performance. The Snapdragon Sound Technology Suite delivers high-quality, lag-free in-game audio. The Snapdragon 5G Modem-RF System and Qualcomm FastConnect Mobile Connectivity System provide 5G and Wi-Fi 7 connectivity, offering a future-ready mobile experience.

The Qualcomm AI Engine has increased by 27% in CPU, 30% in GPU, and 65% in AI performance. It enables generative AI assistants, allowing for quicker and more secure interactions even when there is no internet connection. It also provides real-time image generation in seconds, enabling content creation beyond imagination.

The Snapdragon 7-series has Qualcomm Expanded Personal Area Network (XPAN) technology for untethered audio and Qualcomm Aqstic Hi-Fi DAC, which provides exact sound straight from devices. The newest Release 17 5G delivers peak download rates of up to 4.2 Gbps, while the FastConnect Mobile Connectivity System offers ultra-responsive Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 6.0 technology, featuring Bluetooth Channel Sounding for lost items.
