Vivo V60 5G India launch date announced, key details also revealed

The Vivo V60 5G is expected to succeed the Vivo V50, which was unveiled in India in February.

The Vivo V60 5G is slated to be released in India on August 12, powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 SoC and IP68+IP69 certifications. The device will include a 50-megapixel telephoto camera and a 6,500mAh battery. Vivo has also disclosed the handset’s design and colour possibilities, as well as important specs such as the CPU, camera, and battery capacity.

The Vivo V60 5G will be introduced in India on August noon IST. Vivo has stated that the upcoming Vivo V60 5G would be powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 SoC and have a 6,500mAh battery.

The Vivo V60 5G will run FuntouchOS 15, which is based on Android 15, out of the box.

The device will have a quad-curved display and be available in Auspicious Gold, Mist Grey, and Moonlit Blue colours, according to the manufacturer. It will also be dust and water resistant, with certifications of IP68 and IP69. The phone will include a Zeiss-backed 50-megapixel telephoto lens with 10x magnification, multifocal Portrait Modes, and a triple rear camera arrangement.

It will have Google Gemini features, AI Captions, and the AI Smart Call Assistant.

The Vivo V60 5G will succeed the Vivo V50, which was unveiled in India in February at a starting price of Rs 34,999 for the 8GB RAM with 128GB storage, 8GB RAM with 256GB storage priced at Rs 36,999 and 12GB RAM with 512GB storage option set at Rs 40,999.

The Vivo V50 features a 6.77-inch full-HD+ quad-curved AMOLED screen with 1,080 x 2,392 pixels resolution, Diamond Shield Glass protection, and 4,500 nits peak local brightness. It supports up to 120Hz refresh and 387ppi pixel density. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC powers the device, with up to 12GB LPDDR4X RAM and 512GB UFS 2.2 internal storage, and supports 12GB virtual RAM expansion.

The Vivo phone comes pre-installed with Android 15-based FuntouchOS 15 and features AI features like Circle to Search, Transcript Assist, Live Call Translation, Erase 2.0, and Light Portrait 2.0. It features a Zeiss-branded dual rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel primary sensor and a 50-megapixel ultrawide angle lens, as well as a 50-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.

The smartphone has a 6,000mAh battery, 90W fast charging, IP68 and IP69 water and dust resistance ratings, dual 5G, 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, OTG, and a USB 3.2 Type-C port for charging.
