WhatsApp is testing a feature that would allow users to send messages to friends who do not have an account, although this function may not support sending photos. The functionality is planned to be released to testers in a future version.
WhatsApp is creating a new feature known as ‘Guest Chats‘, which would allow users to send messages to non-account users. The functionality is still under development and has not yet been made available to Android devices as part of the company’s Google Play Beta program. Currently, users cannot send media assets such as photographs and videos to non-account users. The functionality was discovered in development in the newest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.25.22.13 upgrade. It is uncertain when ‘Guest Chats’ will be released to beta testers.
According to the posted screenshots, WhatsApp will include a feature dubbed “guest chats” that would allow users to communicate with non-WhatsApp users. These conversations, which are set to be published in a future update, are intended to give an easy method for users to communicate with others who do not have a complete WhatsApp account within its ecosystem.

WhatsApp users may start a guest chat by inviting one of their contacts who does not have the app installed. The receiver is sent a direct link that allows them to communicate with the creator. Users may share this link by text, email, or other social media platforms, allowing them to communicate without having to register an account or download WhatsApp.
Guest chats have restrictions as compared to normal conversations, such as the inability to send media files such as images, videos, and GIFs, as well as support for voice or video messaging and initiating calls. Additionally, they only work one-on-one, barring group chats.
This is unlike third-party chats, which need an external developer to connect with WhatsApp users. Guests’ chats run within WhatsApp’s ecosystem, offering a uniform user experience controlled by the platform, as opposed to third-party chats, which rely on external developers.

WhatsApp’s guest chat feature protects privacy and security by employing end-to-end encryption, restricting access to just the two people in the discussion. This assures that only the two parties can see the messages, and that no one else, including WhatsApp, has access to the content. The guest may access the chat via an interface similar to WhatsApp Web, which allows them to create a private and encrypted chat session without the need for a separate app download.
