Redmi has officially announced the launch of its latest 5G smartphone, Redmi 15 5G in India today. The latest phone is powered by a Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 chipset. It boasts a 7,000mAh battery with 18W reverse charging support. Additionally, the phone flaunts a 6.9-inch display having a refresh rate of 144Hz. Also, the device comes with an AI-backed 50-megapixel dual rear camera setup.

Redmi 15 5G price in India, Sale details
The Redmi 15 5G has been launched in India in two different configurations. The 6GB RAM with 128GB storage is priced at Rs 14,999. Whereas the 8GB RAM with 128GB storage option comes with a price tag of Rs 15,999, and 8GB RAM with 256GB storage option at Rs 16,999.
The Redmi 15 5G will be available in three colour options — Frosted White, Midnight Black, and Sandy Purple. The smartphone will be available for purchase via Amazon, mi.com Mi Home and across leading retail partners in the country starting August 28.

Redmi 15 5G Specifications, Features
The Redmi 15 5G comes loaded with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 processor (2x Cortex [email protected] and 6x Cortex [email protected]) with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM (expandable up to 16GB RAM with up to 8GB Virtual) and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. It operates on HyperOS2 with Android 15 out of the box and includes intuitive features such as Circle to Search, AI Erase, AI Sky, and Gemini Live. The company promises to provide 2 years of OS and 4 years of security updates.
The 5G smartphone features a 6.9-inch FHD+ display with 2340×1080 pixels of resolution. It is a TÜV Rheinland display with upto 144Hz Adaptive refresh rate support and upto 288Hz touch sampling rate. The phone has a peak brightness of 850 nits.
It is backed by a massive 7,000mAh battery with 33W wired and an 18W reverse charging support.

In terms of optics, Redmi 15 5G has a dual rear camera setup that includes a 50-megapixel main camera with f/1.75 large aperture. There is an 8-megapixel front-facing camera for taking selfies and video calling.
Along with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, there is an IR Blaster, Ambient Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor (Virtual), E-Compass and Accelerometer.
