Launched: Watch History for Instagram Reels, a new tool to access previously watched Reels

Instagram has added a new feature called “Watch History,” which allows users to revisit previously viewed reels. Users may search for reels they’ve seen within a certain date range. Filtering options include date, date range, and author account. The functionality is intended to work similarly to YouTube’s Watch History tool. Users can also delete individual reels from their Watch History list.

Instagram is launching a new feature called “Watch History for Instagram Reels,” which will allow users to search and revisit previously viewed Reels.

It is anticipated that this tool would work similarly to the YouTube Watch History feature. Users may look for reels shared by a certain account and filter reels based on a date or a range of dates. By tapping the three-line menu in the upper-right corner of the screen, you may access the function, which is located in Instagram settings under the Profile tab.

Instagram’s Watch History function can be found under the “How you use Instagram” page. With three distinct tabs for locating relevant Reels, it provides additional search possibilities for previously viewed content. Similar to other apps like YouTube, users may pick particular reels and delete them from their watch history.

By default, it displays Reels seen by the user in the previous 30 days. Instagram users may arrange Reels by age, date, week, or month, as well as search for previously viewed videos within a certain period range. The following tab allows users to filter contents by date, with a default setting of All dates. Users can also search for Reels within a certain date frame. Another tab, Filter by author, lets users search for Reels created by the original author.

Where can to access the Watch History for Instagram Reels feature?

Instagram’s new Watch History feature for Reels is now available on Android and iOS devices.

To use the function, tap the three-line menu in the top-right corner of the screen and choose Settings > Your activity > Watch history.
