Harman’s in-vehicle Ready display achieved HDR10+ Automotive certification

Harman, a Samsung Electronics subsidiary, has made news by becoming the world’s first firm to acquire HDR10+ Automotive certification for its Ready Display product. The company said that this accreditation will set a new standard in the automotive industry for in-vehicle visual experiences. The certification, created through a cooperation between HDR10+ Technologies LLC, Samsung, and Panasonic, defines the criteria for enjoying High Dynamic Range (HDR) video in automobiles.

Harman in-vehicle display technology underwent extensive testing to earn certification, confirming its ability to deliver cinematic-quality visuals with consistent brightness, contrast, and colour accuracy across a variety of lighting situations and viewing angles. The certification also verifies its HDR10+ “Adaptive” capabilities, which automatically adjust brightness and colour according to ambient light, offering a consistent viewing experience regardless of whether the car is driven in bright daylight or in city lights.
