The new laptop is intended to appeal to consumers who want powerful AI capabilities in a portable configuration, effectively addressing worries about cloud dependence.

The Dell Pro Max 16 Plus has been released, featuring an advanced enterprise-grade discrete Neural Processing Unit (NPU). The laptop has two Qualcomm AI 100 NPUs and 64GB of dedicated AI RAM. This enterprise-grade discrete NPU supports cloud-scale FP16 inferencing directly on-device, resulting in faster, more private, and dependable performance without reliance on cloud services. The Linux model is now accessible, with the Windows version set to arrive in early 2026.

The mobile workstation has strong 55W Intel Core Ultra CPUs with integrated graphics and NPU, NVIDIA RTX PRO 5000 Blackwell Generation graphics (24GB), up to 256GB CAMM2 (7200MT/s) DDR memory or 96GB SODIMM, and a large 12TB of storage with RAID support.

The full-size, reduced lattice keyboard has a number pad and a huge clickpad for easy navigation. An 8MP RGB + IR camera enables clear collaboration and fast sign-ins.

Waves MaxxAudio Pro technology enhances audio quality with superior noise reduction. The laptop is powered by a 165W/280W USB Type-C converter that supports EPR for single-cable docking and charging, and the bottom door is easily accessible for updates and maintenance.
