Redmi 15C launching in India today: Expected pricing, specifications

The upcoming Redmi 15C 5G will have an advanced AI dual back camera system, including a 50-megapixel main camera.

Xiaomi’s sub-brand is all set to launch Redmi 15C 5G in the Indian market today. The new phone will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC. It features a 6.9-inch display with 120 Hz refresh rate support. The device is going to feature a dual rear camera setup and is expected to be available on Amazon. Leaks suggest that the upcoming mobile phone will be equipped with a 6,000 mAh battery.

The Redmi phone will be introduced in India today. So yet, the firm has not stated whether it would be released during a specific launch event or as a “soft” release. In the event of the former, you may be able to watch the debut live on its social media accounts and the official YouTube channel.

Expected price in India

Tipster Abhishek Yadav recently revealed the Redmi 15C 5G’s base model, with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage, is likely to cost Rs 12,499. The mid-range version with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage is expected to cost Rs 13,999, while the top-end variant, which may have 8GB RAM and the same storage capacity, is expected to cost Rs 14,999. Notably, these estimations are higher than prior reports, which put the base model at Rs 11,500, the mid-range at Rs 12,500, and the top tier at Rs 14,500.

Expected Specifications

In terms of specs, the Redmi 15C 5G will include a 6.9-inch LCD with HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. It is confirmed to be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor and support up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage. The gadget is going to run HyperOS 2, which is based on Android 15, and it will receive two major Android upgrades as well as four years of security patches. The phone will also contain a 6,000mAh battery, which is designed to maintain 80% of its capacity even after 1,000 charging cycles. It will provide an impressive performance with 23.1 hours of YouTube video playback, 106.9 hours of continuous music streaming, and a remarkable standby time of up to 329.7 hours.
