Oppo Pad 5 featuring a 12.1-inch display launched in India

The new tablet houses a 10,050 mAh battery.

Oppo recently unveiled the Pad 5 in India, which includes a 10,050mAh battery and a 12.1-inch display. It’s powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultra SoC. The Oppo Pad 5 supports 33W SuperVOOC wired charging, which allows for quick charging. The tablet is now available for pre-order and will be offered via an e-commerce platform and Oppo’s online shop. The tablet comes in two colours: Aurora Pink and Starlight Black.

The Oppo Pad 5 is priced at Rs 26,999 for the Wi-Fi-only version and Rs 32,999 for the Wi-Fi + 5G edition, both of which come with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. The device is currently available for pre-order and will be on sale in India on January 13 through Flipkart and the Oppo online shop

The Oppo Pad 5 runs ColorOS 16, which is based on Android 16. The tablet has a powerful octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultra processor with an Arm Mali-G615 MC2 GPU. This powerful combination is backed by 8GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 256GB of swift UFS 3.1 internal storage. These components work together to provide strong performance that can handle a wide range of tasks and meet the demands of multiple applications.

The tablet’s 12.1-inch LCD screen has a resolution of 2.8K (2,800×1,980 pixels). It offers a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz and has an outstanding touch sampling rate of up to 540 Hz. Furthermore, it supports 98% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut, delivering vivid, accurate colour reproduction. The screen can reach a maximum brightness of 900 nits and has a pixel density of 284 pixels per inch (ppi).

The Oppo Pad 5 has only one 8-megapixel rear camera with an f/2.0 aperture, a 77-degree field of view, and focusing capabilities. For selfies and video conferencing, it has an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with an f/2.0 aperture. The tablet can record video at a quality of up to 1080p, which allows for 30 frames per second.

The tablet comes with a powerful 10,050 mAh battery that supports 33 W SuperVOOC wired fast charging for speedy recharges. It incorporates a variety of sensors for increased functionality, including an ambient light sensor, a colour temperature sensor, an e-compass, an accelerometer, a Hall sensor, and a proximity sensor. The gadget supports the latest connectivity standards, including Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, and a USB Type-C connector.
