Google Pixel 10a launch date announced: Pre-order, availability details

The Pixel 10a's design apparently copies that of its predecessor, keeping aesthetic consistency while increasing durability.

Google has officially revealed the Pixel 10a’s debut date, which is February 18. Subscribers to the Google Store can receive a special offer if they sign up for information before February 13. The new variant is said to be the most robust in the Pixel A-Series family and will be available in blue. The Pixel 10a is scheduled to be released in India and other global markets as the successor to the Pixel 9a, which debuted last year.

Google has confirmed the Pixel 10a’s debut date, which is February 18.

The Pixel 10a is teased with a blue colour option that resembles its predecessor’s Iris. Although Google has not revealed particular details, it is likely to boost photography skills and resistance to dust and water. Similar to the Pixel 9a, it will offer Gemini as an AI assistant.

The Google Pixel 10a retains the design of its predecessor, with a flat dual back camera placed in a pill-shaped island and a single LED flash. It sports a centrally aligned Google logo on the rear, large bezels around the display, and a hole-punch cutout in the centre.

Although exact pricing details are yet to be revealed, Google Store users can take advantage of an exclusive offer by signing up for information before 1:29 PM IST on February 13. Subscribers can apply this deal to purchase the Pixel 10a and receive a reward for a future order.

Pixel 9a specs and pricing

Pixel 9a was launched in India at a price tag of Rs 49,999 for the single 8GB RAM with 256GB storage. The phone is being offered in Iris, Obsidian, Peony, and Porcelain colour options.

The Google Pixel 9a features upgraded IP68 water and dust resistance, making it the most durable A-series phone to date. It features a 6.3-inch Actua display with 1,080×2,424 pixels of resolution. The panel is said to be 35% brighter than the Pixel 8a at 2700 nits and up to a 120 Hz refresh rate. The screen comes with Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

Under its hood, there is a Google Tensor G4 chip with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. There is a Titan M2 security coprocessor as well. The Pixel 9a comes pre-installed with Android 15 and is promised to receive seven years of OS and security updates.

Additionally, the Pixel 9a features Gemini, a personal AI assistant for Google apps like Maps, Calendar, and YouTube, with conversational features and upcoming video and screen-sharing capabilities with Gemini Advanced.

The Pixel 9a’s dual rear camera system, featuring a 13MP ultrawide lens and a 48MP main camera, offers high-quality photos and videos, with Macro Focus enabling detailed close-up shots for the first time on an A-series device. For selfies, there is a 13MP front-facing camera. The rear camera can record at 4K/60fps with 5x digital zoom, while the selfie camera supports video recording at 4K/30fps.

There is a 5,100mAh battery that supports fast charging at 23W and 7.5W wireless (Qi) charging. According to the company, the device is said to deliver over 30 hours of battery life and over 100 hours with Extreme Battery Saver.

The Pixel 9a offers various connectivity options, including 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, GPS, NavIC, and a USB 3.2 Type-C port, along with stereo speakers, two microphones, an accelerometer, a gyroscope, a magnetometer, a barometer, and proximity.
