Apple will reportedly host a special event next month: Here is everything we know about it

The company may host the event in London, New York, and Shanghai, although the exact location has not been confirmed.

On March 4, Apple has been reported to be holding a “special Apple experience” event where they would show off the iPhone 17e and a MacBook that costs less than $1,000. The M5-powered MacBook Air and MacBook Pro with M5 Pro and M5 Max CPUs are also expected to be announced.

A report says that Apple will have a “special Apple experience” event on March 4, 2026, at 9 a.m. ET, and members of the press are invited. This event is anticipated to take place at the same time in London, New York, and Shanghai, and it is meant to show off several new products. The promotional invite has a 3D Apple logo made up of yellow, green, and blue discs. These colours match the ones that were previously leaked for the next low-cost MacBook. This introduction could show that Apple is changing its strategy to reach a wider audience by offering more affordable options while still coming up with new ideas for its main product lines.

Low-Cost MacBook pricing and specifications (expected)

According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman in the “Power On” newsletter, Apple is working on a new low-cost MacBook that will cost less than $1,000 (approximately Rs. 90,700). This will be the cheapest MacBook in its portfolio. This model is likely to have the A18 Pro chipset, which is the same as the iPhone 16 Pro‘s, and a display that is just under 13 inches, which sets it apart from the Air and Pro models. Apple is also going to stop using its usual muted colours. Instead, it might use light yellow, light green, blue, pink, classic silver, or dark grey. However, not all of these colours may be available at the launch. This new MacBook, which has the code number J700, is said to have the same high build quality as previous models. It has an aluminium chassis made using a new manufacturing technique that is meant to lower production costs and boost efficiency.

New M5-powered MacBook Air and MacBook Pro models with M5 Pro and M5 Max

There have been rumours that new MacBook models will be out soon. These include a MacBook Air with an M5 processor and new MacBook Pro versions with M5 Pro and M5 Max chipsets. Journalist Mark Gurman says in his Power On newsletter that these new models fit in with the macOS 26.3 cycle. There are reports that the current MacBook Pro models with M4 Pro and M4 Max CPUs are in short supply in the US. These shortages could mean that a new product is about to be released. Apple is also expected to release several new Macs soon, such as the upgraded MacBook Air and the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models. Also, this year we should expect new Mac mini models, updated Mac Studio desktops, and a low-cost MacBook model with a display smaller than 13 inches that might have an iPhone-class CPU. These will compete with Windows laptops and Chromebooks.

iPhone 17e Pricing and Specifications (Expected)

According to Jon Prosser’s concept video, the iPhone may feature Apple’s Dynamic Island and MagSafe charging technology. It is expected to come in white, black, and lavender, with thin bezels.

The 17e is expected to have a single 48-megapixel back camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS), an LED light, and a 12-megapixel TrueDepth front camera for selfies and video calling. It may feature volume controls and an action button on the left side, as well as a power button on the right. The design will most likely be similar to its predecessor. It will purportedly include the Dynamic Island feature and will be powered by Apple’s A19 processor and a C1X chip. The panel is also expected to have the same refresh rate as its predecessor, up to 60 Hz.

It is assumed that the battery capacity remains constant. The new A19 chip may affect overall usage time. As previously stated, a noteworthy upgrade for the iPhone 17e could be the introduction of MagSafe charging, which allows for quicker wireless charging of up to 25W, rather than the 7.5W given by the iPhone 16e‘s Qi standard.

Mark Gurman of Bloomberg says that the price may stay the same, with the base model with 128GB of storage starting at $599 (which is approximately Rs 54,000). The price in India could start at Rs 59,900, which is around the same as the iPhone 16e. People across the world should be able to get the iPhone 17e in white, black, and lavender.
