This feature, which lets users look back on their listening habits throughout the years, is accessible for a limited time via the Spotify mobile app. Users get insights about their musical journey: their first streaming songs, their most played tunes, and their top artists. In addition, Spotify adds a personalised touch to the listening experience by creating a custom playlist of the user’s top 120 songs.

This effort includes various exciting elements, such as insights into the user’s first day on Spotify, a compilation of the total number of unique songs they have listened to, the first song they ever streamed, and a list of their all-time most-streamed artists. Spotify emphasises the importance of collective listening habits with these personalised insights, while also immersing its user base in a nostalgic exploration of their musical journey over the last two decades.

Users are provided with an All-Time Top Songs Playlist, including their top 120 songs and how many times they’ve been played. And each data story has a share card that allows users to store their playlists, share with friends or publish to social media.
