Apple is set to unveil its next flagship series, including the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, in September 2026. Leaks and insider rumours have begun to reveal information about these upcoming models. The company is likely to use a split-launch strategy, with the premium Pro models featuring a foldable phone coming out in September and regular iPhone 18 versions expected to launch in early 2027.

iPhone 18 Pro Price in India Expected
Apple hasn’t released any official statements on the price of the iPhone 18 Pro. However, industry experts believe the iPhone 18 Pro will continue to follow a high-end price strategy similar to its predecessors. The base variant of the Pro model is expected to be priced between Rs 1,34,900 and Rs 1,39,900 in India. On the other hand, the iPhone 18 Pro Max is reportedly beginning at about Rs 1,49,900, with the high-storage models perhaps priced around Rs 1,59,900. This approach indicates Apple’s goal to find the right level of innovation and affordability in the competitive smartphone industry.

Apple is also working to improve the quality of the rear glass of its phones so that it is compatible with the aluminium frame. The new colour palette will introduce a number of new colours, including: dark cherry, a new exclusive deep wine-like red with subtle purple undertones to replace the current cosmic orange; light blue, a gentle and refreshing colour reminiscent of trendy pastel finishes; dark grey, a sophisticated and neutral dark colour; and silver, a timeless and elegant metallic finish that highlights a premium aesthetic.

The iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max are likely to offer substantial improvements in display, processor power, and camera versatility, with attention to storage, connectivity, and battery life demands.
The iPhone 18 Pro will likely have a 6.3-inch LTPO+ OLED display, with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of over 3,000 nits. The Pro Max model is said to have a bigger 6.9-inch LTPO+ OLED display with comparable display technology. Both variants will run on the Apple A20 Pro CPU, based on the 2nm technology, and 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM, optimised for AI tasks. Both smartphones should be running iOS 20.
When it comes to storage, both devices could be provided with 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB choices, with the Pro Max also having a 2TB storage option. The devices shall come with a triple camera arrangement consisting of a 48MP primary camera with a variable aperture, a 48MP ultra-wide lens, and a 48MP telephoto lens, providing various photography capabilities. Both models will also include a 24MP front-facing camera supported with Face ID technology for biometric verification.
The iPhone 18 Pro should have a battery capacity of roughly 5,000 mAh, while the Pro Max will have a 5,100 to 5,200 mAh battery. The Pro Max is a little thicker at 8.8mm to accommodate the bigger cell and weighs more than 240 grams. Both versions will provide connectivity using a unique 5G C2 modem, Wi-Fi 7, and enhanced satellite integration.
