Telegram launches new smartwatch apps for Apple Watch and Android Wear OS, including AI Guardians to help with group moderating. The upgrade includes enhanced rich text formatting for bots, better polling support, and additional browser controls. The overhaul is meant to improve accessibility, intelligence and customisation for its 1 billion users across devices.
Telegram has rolled out apps for Apple Watch and Android Wear OS smartwatches, allowing users to send and receive text and audio conversations from their wrists. Voice notes can be listened to by users, as can many sorts of media, including video messages, in applications. Users may now read long conversation threads and preview locations without having to reach for their phones. This feature is intended to improve communication for mobile users by letting them quickly handle chats straight from the wearable interface.
Telegram has upgraded its bot capabilities that will allow for richer and more engaging conversations with better formatting options. These upgrades enable bots to include inline media, carousels, collages, tables, and nested blockquotes, making for a more visually appealing experience for users.
Also, additional formatting options have been included, such as the ability to utilise headings, anchors, collapsible sections and footnotes. Bots may now contain mathematical formulas and superscript and subscript text, giving them more ability to communicate information.

Also, bot messages may now have a support of up to 32,768 characters, allowing for more detailed responses, rich documentation, and improved AI-powered interactions, which expand the possibilities for user engagement and information delivery.
Telegram has introduced a new tool named AI Guardians, which allows group admins to use AI-powered bots for managing join requests and community interactions. These AI Guardians simplify the membership process by evaluating applicants using customisable methods and mini app interfaces, ensuring that only appropriate individuals are permitted to enter the groups. They also assist moderators in enforcing community norms, making interactions on the site safer and more organised.
Additionally, Telegram has improved its polling function by allowing clickable links in the poll options so that the poll creator may give context and extra information to the choices, making the vote more meaningful and clear.
