Chinese smartphone manufacturer Vivo has announced its mid-range budget smartphone called Vivo Y93 in China today. The smartphone comes under the Y series of Vivo’s smartphones and is available in two colour options.
The key specifications of the Vivo Y93 include Android 8.1 Oreo, a dual rear camera setup that comes with AI-powered portrait mode and a 4,030mAh battery.

Vivo Y93 smartphone comes in 4GB RAM/64GB internal storage option that is priced at CNY 1,500. It is available on Vivo’s online store in China and as of now, there is no word on its availability in India. The smartphone from Vivo comes in Midnight Black and Purple colour options.

The new offering by Vivo comes with a 6.2-inch HD+ display that comes with an aspect ratio of 19:9. The smartphone’s display comes with a waterdrop-shaped notch on the top, which gives users more space on the screen. It is powered by 1.95 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 processor clubbed with 4GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage. If you need more storage, you can install a microSD card of up to 256GB. Vivo Y93 smartphone comes with dual-SIM functionality and runs Android 8.1 Oreo with FuntouchOS 4.5 baked on top.
On the camera front, there is a dual rear camera setup with 13MP primary sensor coupled with 2MP sensor. The dual rear cameras come with features like phase detection autofocus and has support for an AI-powered portrait mode.
The company is popular for its selfie cameras, and in Vivo Y93, they it has packed an 8MP front facing snapper. The selfie camera of the Vivo Y93 smartphone comes with AI beautification, Face Wake and AR stickers. The front facing shooter also has support for facial recognition technology. So if you are someone who isn’t too fond of fingerprint sensors because they at times require multiple attempts, you can unlock your smartphone just by placing it in front of your face. Vivo Y93 houses a 4,030mAh battery.
On the connectivity front, the smartphone supports 4G VoLTE, GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and OTG support.
