Samsung Smart Monitor M8 announced in India, will be available at a starting price of Rs 59,999

The monitor also functions as a Smart TV, with Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, and Apple TV among the OTT services available.

Last week Samsung smart monitor M8 went on preorder in India. Today the company has officially announced the launch of the Smart Monitor M8 to the latest addition to the Smart Monitor series. The Monitor M8 is part of a line of world-first smart monitors that not only provide a PC-free working experience, but also allow users to watch Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, and Apple TV through Wi-Fi without having to connect to a PC or TV.

Samsung Smart Monitor M8 Price in India and Availability

Samsung smart monitor M8 will be available in India at a starting price of INR 59,999. It will come in two colour options of Sunset Pink and Spring Green, while the Daylight Blue and Warm White variants will be available later this year. The new display will go on sale on June 15 via Samsung’s official online store Samsung Shop, Amazon and all leading retail stores.

The Samsung Smart Monitor M8 is a 32-inch 4K monitor with a 32-inch panel. The panel has a resolution of 3,840 x 2,160 pixels and a refresh rate of 60Hz. Tizen is the operating system on which the device runs. It offers optional support for cameras, which may be used with pre-installed apps like Google Duo. The Smart Monitor M8 can be used as a smart TV by using Wi-Fi to stream OTT services such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, Apple TV, and Samsung TV Plus.

The Samsung Smart Monitor M8 covers 99 percent of the sRGB colour gamut and has a brightness range of up to 400 nits. Users will be able to control SmartThings compatible devices and monitor their smart home devices using the SmartThings app, according to Samsung. To make remote work easier, a detachable magnetic SlimFit Cam with Face Tracking and Auto Zoom functions is available to monitor and capture a single speaker. The monitor supports apps such as Google Duo and others. The smart monitor M8 can be controlled remotely, run Microsoft 365 services, and sync with Samsung mobile devices via Samsung DeX. It even comes with wireless remote control for quick access to your favourite shows.

A USB-C port for connecting to a computer, a Micro HDMI port, a second USB-C port, Bluetooth 4.2, and Wi-Fi 5 are all included. With a thickness of 11.4mm, the monitor is thinner than the previous Samsung Smart Monitor M7 model.
