Gionee Elife E8 with octa-core SoC, 3GB RAM and 23.7MP camera launched

The Chinese smartphone manufacturer Gionee has expanded its E series of smartphone with the launch of Elife E8. The device flaunts a 6-inch display with 2560×1440 pixels resolution protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The dual SIM smartphone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system topped with the Amigo UI of the company.

Powering the Elife E8 is a 2GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio X 10 (MT6795) processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. The internal storage of the device accounts to 64GB which can be further expanded to 128GB. The smartphone comes equipped with a 23.7-megapixel rear camera with Dual tone LED flash and an 8.0-megapixel front-facing camera with wide-angle lens to facilitate video calling.

On the connectivity front, the device offers 4G, LTE, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC and houses a 3,520 mAh battery. The Gionee Elife E8 also consists of a fingerprint sensor on the back for secure locking. The company has priced the device for $644 (Approx. Rs 41,118) and will be available in China from 15th July. The company has also stated that the smartphone will be launched in India in August this year.
