Dropbox crosses 400 million registered users mark

Dropbox has revealed that it has crossed the 400 million registered users mark. The company stated that the users are syncing 1.2 billion files every day, along with this they also create 100,000 new shared folders and links every hour. The Dropbox users are also making 4,000 edits every second.

Talking about the achievement, in its official blog Dropbox said, “We redesigned image and document previews and implemented full-text search to save you time and improve productivity. With over 35 billion Microsoft Office files stored on Dropbox, our Office integration is a natural fit, letting you edit Word, PowerPoint, or Excel files directly from your web browser or mobile device.”

Dropbox has also said that there are 50 countries all around the in which at least 1 million people have Dropbox accounts. However, the company has not revealed the number of active users it has. The firm also highlighted that, it has around 100,000 paying Dropbox for Business users in December when the service was launched. Dropbox crossed the 300 million mark last year and it also updated the app recently with new material design.
