This is what the Moto Razr 2019 may look like

A few backs, Motorola created a stir among its fans when reports about the company’s plans to launch its iconic Motorola Moto Razr flip phone surfaced online. The Lenovo-owned company will reportedly showcase the revamped version of its iconic smartphone from the 2000’s at the Mobile World Congress 2019, which is set to begin on February 25.

And now, some images of the upcoming smartphone that have been created by designer Sarang Sheth have surfaced online. The images show the Moto Razr 2019 with a foldable display and it will come along with a mini display that will be outside the handset.

We should mention that the design that has surfaced online large resembles the Motorola patent that the company filed last year. To recall, the patent explored the possibility of the Razr phone coming with a foldable display. And Sheth’s designs show a single-lens camera placed beneath the display of the smartphone on the outward portion of the device that will appear when the handset will be folded.

But then, there is a change that you should know about. When you unfold the smartphone, you will not be greeted by the good old T9 keyboard that was present on the original handset. The Moto Razr 2019 will instead open into a full touchscreen display. So, the foldable device from Motorola will be different from the foldable phones from the likes of Samsung. While Samsung’s Galaxy F is a candy bar phone that can be unfolded into a tablet sized device, the Moto Razr 2019 is a palm sized handset that opens into a normal sized touchscreen smartphone.

We actually like Motorola‘s concept better because what Samsung is doing may prove to be too chunky for some people’s taste. And besides, not everyone wants to carry a tablet sized device with them.

However, we should mention that as of now, everything about Motorola’s upcoming Moto Razr smartphone is just speculations, as there is no official word from the company about it. We are waiting for the Mobile World Congress 2019 to begin so that we can finally know what Motorola’s foldable phone will look like as a number of reports have claimed that it will be showcased at the event.
