For small and light Chromebooks, the octa-core Kompanio 838 is an incredibly efficient System on a Chip (SoC) with exceptional performance and multitasking features. It doubles memory bandwidth, supports DDR4 and LPDDR4X, and uses the MediaTek NPU 650, a dedicated AI processor, to handle the most recent advancements in AI. Even in difficult lighting circumstances, professional quality HDR imagery, dual camera capabilities, and low-light capture are enhanced by the integrated next-generation MediaTek Imagiq 7 series ISP. With the Kompanio 838, customers can stream 4K material and improve visual quality thanks to hardware-accelerated AV1 video decoding. It offers dual-band and tri-band networking choices with MediaTek Filogic Wi-Fi 6 and 6E technology, and it can support up to two 4K screens at once.
However, the MediaTek Pentonic 800 is a potent SoC made for 4K screens that provides excellent cloud gaming, music, and video quality. Its AI processor offers up to 60% less bandwidth utilisation and 50% faster processing performance. In order to improve upscaling, picture quality, and noise reduction, the processor supports AI-powered display technologies such as AI-Super Resolution 3.0, AI-Contrast 2.0, AI-Picture Quality Scene Recognition 2.0+, and AI-Picture Quality Object Recognition 2.5+. It supports important codecs like HEVC, AV1, AVS3 High Profile, and VVC (H.266), and it can handle variable refresh rate (VRR) up to 4K2K 165Hz. Filogic Wi-Fi connectivity solutions are available for OEMs to add for dependable, high-speed, low-latency communication. At Computex, MediaTek will have an exhibit to highlight its intelligence capabilities across a range of devices.
