Oppo Reno 12 Series India launch date announced, set for next week

Oppo Reno 12 and Reno 12 Pro are confirmed to arrive under the series.

The Chinese tech brand Oppo has officially announced the launch date for the Reno 12 series in India. The company has set the launch for next week. The upcoming series is confirmed to include two models Oppo Reno 12 and Reno 12 Pro. Note that prior to this announcement both the smartphones had already launched in China and a few select markets internationally last month. Besides revealing the exact launch date Oppo has also confirmed the colour options for the upcoming handsets.

The Oppo Reno 12 Series is set to launch in India on July 12. The series is confirmed to include Oppo Reno 12 and Reno 12 Pro. According to the business, the Reno 12 will be available in matte brown, Astro silver, and sunset peach colours. Whereas, the Pro model will be available in Sunset Gold and Space Brown colours.

Oppo Reno 12 Series confirmed specs

The company has confirmed that the Reno 12 series features a Quad-Micro Curved Infinite View screen with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and Gorilla Glass 7i for durability and scratch resistance. Both models have a 6.7-inch FHD+ 120Hz Flexible AMOLED display with a 43° quad-micro curve, 1.69mm narrow side bezels, and a 93.5% screen-to-body ratio. The 10-bit panels display 1.07 billion colors, providing smooth colour transitions even in bright outdoor conditions.

Oppo has further revealed that both the phones Reno 12 Pro and Reno 12 Pro are IP65-rated for dust and water resistance. The series features All-Round Armour protection, and a High-Strength Alloy Framework, and is tested by SGS for Premium Performance 5 Stars Multi-scene protection, including water and shock resistance. The Reno 12 Pro is said to have low blue light and a flicker-free screen to prevent eye fatigue.

The Reno 12 series is powered by a 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Energy SoC, offering high performance with quad 2.5GHz Arm Cortex-A78 and quad Arm Cortex-A55. It also includes AI features like AI Clear Face, AI Writer, AI Recording Summary, and AI Eraser 2.0. Both models have a 5000mAh battery with 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging, offering four years of battery durability.

Both phones feature a triple rear camera setup. The Reno 12 has a 50-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, a 2-megapixel macro shooter, and a 32-megapixel front camera. The Reno 12 Pro has the same primary sensor and ultrawide lens, a 50-megapixel telephoto shooter, and a 50-megapixel front camera.
