Here is when Google’s foldable phone Pixel 9 Pro Fold to launch in India

Google has confirmed the India launch date of its premium foldable, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold.

The launch date of Google’s high-end foldable, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, in India has been revealed. After the release of the first Pixel Fold last year, Google will offer its most expensive foldable device in India for the first time. Upgrades over the Pixel Fold from the previous year are anticipated with this book-style foldable. There will be an off-white colour option for the foldable. It is expected that the smartphone will have a dual-level rear camera configuration.

Following its global event on August 13, Google has confirmed the Pixel 9 Pro Fold’s August 14 launch in India. Note that India has not yet received the Pixel Fold, Google’s first foldable smartphone. The Mountain View giant has teased the black colour option of the phone. Those who are interested can register on Google’s online shop to get updates regarding the release of the Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold and Pixel 9 Pro.

In a video teaser, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold is seen in an off-white colour similar to Google’s trademark Porcelain colour, along with its hinge mechanism and the outer display. The foldable seems to feature a noticeable rectangular bump with rounded corners for the camera, and the dual-level arrangement of the lenses is stacked vertically. One of the four cameras on the back of the new Fold appears to be a periscope lens.

Announcements regarding the new 9 Pro Fold and the 9 Pro will be made at the Made By Google event on August 13. Additionally, Google will launch the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 XL, and Pixel 9 XL Pro, which are the normal variants. This is the first time that the ‘XL’ label has been extended to a phone since the Pixel 4XL. This year, major camera upgrades are anticipated for these models.

Which of the three smartphones in the Pixel 9 series will be released in India is still up in the air.
