Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 with Leica-branded rear camera setup with a Summilux lens launched

The foldable phone comes with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC.

The Chinese tech giant has officially introduced its latest foldable phone Mix Fold 4 in its home market. The device features a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. The phone includes two-way satellite communication and a Leica-branded quad rear camera setup. In addition to this, the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 is backed by a 5,100mAh battery.

Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 has launched in China with a price tag of CNY 8,999 or about Rs 1,03,000 for the 12GB RAM with 256GB storage option. The price of the 16GB RAM with 512GB storage option and 16GB RAM with 1TB storage options is set at CNY 9,999 or about Rs 1,15,000 and CNY 10,999 or about Rs 1,26,000 respectively. It is available in three colours: Black, White and Blue colour variant.

Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 features a 7.98-inch primary 2K AMOLED main display with 2,224×2,488 pixels of resolution. There is a 6.56-inch AMOLED outer display with 1,080×2,520 pixels of resolution. Both the display has up to 120Hz refresh rate and 3000nits peak brightness. The panel has HDR10+ and Dolby Vision support. The phone is dust and water-resistant with an IPX8 rating and a fingerprint sensor for authentication.

The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS4.0 storage. Summilux lens and Leica branding adorn the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4’s back camera configuration. Together with a 50-megapixel Light Hunter 800 sensor that supports OIS, the camera configuration also features a 50-megapixel telephoto sensor, a 10-megapixel telephoto sensor with a 5X optical zoom, and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide sensor. The primary screen and cover screen are equipped with 20-megapixel cameras.

The 5,100mAh battery within the Mix Fold 4 can be charged either cable at 67W or wirelessly at 50W. The Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 has the following connectivity options: USB Type-C port, 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, GPS, BeiDou, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, NavIC, A-GPS, and OTG. Additionally, it supports two-way satellite communication, which enables users to rapidly communicate with the outside world via satellite in the event of an emergency without network connectivity.
